Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Bothy. A wonderful little property with fantastic outside space. Although early April, we had fantastic weather and were able to relax in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy outside cooking. Evenings were cold, yet the best time to relax, under the stars in the hot tub.
Thomas and Family live on site and are so very friendly and accommodating.
I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at the Bothy, or the other cottages on site. Such a fabulous setting facilitated by a friendly, welcoming family.
We hope to be back soon!!
Arriving at the property we were astounded by the stunning views, and immediately felt relaxed by the tranquil environment. 3 beautiful horses greeted us on our way in and out every day which was perfect. We were greeted by Thomas, who was very thorough with a no touch, socially distanced check in. He was really friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, gave us advice about the local area, where to eat, cycle etc which was so helpful.
The cottage itself is exactly what we needed it to be, private, quiet, cosy, tranquil (but also with Netflix) and just what we wanted for our romantic break. The bathroom is stunning, a bit of spa music and we felt like we were in a movie !! Would recommend bringing sliders for your nips to the bathroom as it is on stones. We can’t wait to return both as a couple and with a group of friends ! It completely blew our expectations away ! Thankyou
Great location, fantastic views ,cosy would definitely love to stay again .Thomas our host couldnt have done anymore to make us feel comfortable.Highly Recommend.

Beware of extra costs
We stayed at the cottage last week and had a nice time, the cottage is lovely and the owners are very nice. However after paying a substantial amount for 4 nights I think that charging extra on hot tub maintenance, extra on gas for a bbq when there isnt any other option for cooking; as well as paying for initial set of logs is a rip off. With also trying to get an extra money if you dont turn up on time of arrival as there is no option for a contactless arrival is a bit cheeky. Other than this we enjoyed our stay even if we did have to bring our own towels and bedding due to covid.
Where to start... ? Initially upon arrival we thought Argh! it's a little smaller than the pictures give the impression, but I can assure you that lovely things come in small packages and once settled we never noticed. Wonderful building and superbly finished, kudos to the designer/builder, and to the host/owner who couldn't be more helpful, warm and friendly. I had great fun in getting the hot tub going and wasting a few hours relaxing taking in the views, then chilling by the wood burner with a good book and even better wine.
The downstairs bathroom is finished to a very high spec. a nice relaxing roll top bath but there is no shower head so be warned if you have lots of hair to wash. This doesn't detract from ambiance of a little slice of luxury.
We had a superb stay, and would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a quiet romantic break and explore this lovely part of Wales.
Thank you to our hosts.
If you need a break away from the everyday, you need to try this place. A comfortable, hilltop bothy, that affords views of Denbighshire’s rolling hills and farmland. We’ve never slept so well away from home! Utter bliss!
The owners are very welcoming.
Lovely quirky place to stay. The views are amazing and the wood fired hot tub makes it extra special. The bed is really comfy and we loved the outside space. Check in was easy and Thomas couldn’t do enough for us. Great location if you want to get out and about or just want to relax. Really peaceful surroundings.
We really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights at this gorgeous location. The hosts of this property went out of their way to ensure we had the best getaway and were very helpful in giving ideas of things to do in the surrounding areas. The Bothy was really clean upon arrival and we were provided with the necessary essentials to keep it clean. The scenery was lovely to wake up to and was a good place to switch off and relax. The outdoor area is really cosy and the hot tub is a lovely touch. The cooking facilities were good and was lovely to be able to have a BBQ in the sunshine. There was plenty of wood for fires and for heating up the hot tub. Upon running low on wood we messaged the hosts and they dropped some more right round which was helpful. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, with plenty of space to relax. The communication leading up to and during the stay was really efficient and again they went out of their way to help and answer any questions especially with covid rules changing constantly. Overall it was a lovely stay and would definitely recommend for a couple's weekend away.
My partner and I loved every second that we were there. We wanted to get away and spend some time together and this was perfect. The view was incredible and the cottage, so romantic. The owner was so kind to us too. This holiday will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Stayed here for our first wedding anniversary- Thomas could not have been more helpful and the cottage is simply stunning!!
The hot tub was gorgeous and super relaxing with its scenic views. Couldn’t recommend enough!!
Beautiful Cottage, Lovely Location, Excellent Host and the list goes on....
I was hesitant at first booking the cottage as we have never experience a getaway at a cottage. I sent a few messages to the owner Thomas, who pretty much responded immediately, he was courteous and understanding putting my mind at ease instantly.
Check-in was at 4pm, we hit heavy traffic on the way, I called Thomas and again he was very understanding. We drove through the beautiful roads of wales and were welcomed by a stunning looking property.
Thomas greeted us personally at the cottage, showed us around the cottage and gave us step by step instruction on everything. The cottage is beautiful, the bed is very comfortable, all utensils and amenities are included, the hot tub is perfect! We sat in the tub every evening that we were there and took in the beautiful and mesmerizing surroundings.
Its peaceful and tranquil. A perfect little getaway. Perfect little cottage and a perfect host. Thank you for making our visit memorable Thomas and we will see you again soon!
Friendly host, couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay, gave us privacy but also available for any questions. The location is amazing, and the views are incredible. Host helped with the hot tub on arrival and was on hand by a quick message. Telling us where everything was, such as pubs to go to and landmarks that we could walk or drive to. Even when leaving, we were told about places nearby to visit. The photos really do not do the place justice, comfortable bed, very clean, everything you need to cook and clean. The bathroom was amazing, massive bath and lovely smell as soon as you walk in, lots of candles so very romantic. Already booking to go back in the next few months. Highly recommend
