Fortunately there was a couple of guys staying there who were able to call someone who let us into our room. I couldn’t remember if this was a pay at property or if we had prepaid so I asked the guy who told me we owed €75. We offered him our credit card but he asked for cash and it wasn’t till the next morning I discovered that we had indeed pre-paid. The...

"Magnifique propriété décorée avec goût, très bien tenue et équipée pour passer un séjour des plus agréables et reposants en famille ou entre amis. Chambres confortables et très spacieuses, grande cuisine avec tout l'équipement nécessaire. Grande terrasse et jardin, barbecue, etc...Charmant village départ de très belles randonnées et base arrière idéale pour de nombreuses visites touristiques. "Gite agréable et spacieux avec piscine et ping pong sur place pour les activites. Nous en avons profité pour visiter Maroilles, Chimay et nous avons été mangé une frite chez "Thierry la frite" à Aulnoye-Aymeries. Les gens "du coin" sont tellement gentilles et avenants. En plus nous avons eu très beau temps. Cest onéreux mais ce fût un pur plaisir aucun regret."

The perfect relaxing stopover

"Love this place, can't get enough of it. Came with my daughter on way to the Alps. Perfect location. Every time I stay here I get wonderful treatment from all the staff. The spa area is beautiful and so relaxing after a long journey. Dinner amazing as usual and to top it all we were yet again upgraded !! Roll on next trip."

"The chalet was clean, although small, there was sufficient space for our motorcycle gear and space outside to leave luggage. The area around the lake is good for walking and due to it being end of season, very quiet throughout the day and night. The breakfast service was poor and does not represent good value. The first day there were no bowls for creals and no clean tea mugs. On the second day we were the only two diners. The cleaners were in the room drinking coffee when we arrived so there was not enough coffee left. I asked for more, they gave us a flask, locked the service room and left. They hadn't made more coffee but simply topped up the flask with water so the last bit we had was undrinkable. We then realised they had locked away the breads and croissants, leaving us nothing to eat. I told the office about this and as we had only eaten half a breakfast I asked for a refund of one but this was refused. We had a long ride that day and wanted a good start to the day, not to pay for the cleaners' breakfast. Overall the stay was good and I recommend it to others but advise against having the breakfast. "

Gorgeous rural stay

"We only stayed for one night at this gorgeous hotel. It’s a stunning building which has obviously had a lot of money, time and effort put into it. The surrounding area is quiet and rural. Our room was compact but beautifully decorated in a traditional french style. We ate in the hotel on the evening, the service and food were lovely. Unfortunately due to an early start we were unable to have breakfast. "

No reception and they charge yo twice

The proprietor promised he’d refund our money but after 3 months of to-ing and fro-ing - NOTHING. So - apart from being left stranded when you arrive to being cheated wrt payment I would strongly advise avoiding yhis place. "
