Icy pool

Very nice hotel, nice staff, good breakfast but the pool was for sure not heated, think it had been warmer to go outside in the snow. Very cold pool.

Good stay in Säffle

Great stay at First hotel in Säffle- when visiting family. This was during an bankholiday so the hotel was more without staff than normal. Friendly staff at check in. Room was spacious and clean. Good bed. Breakfast was very good with a mix of cold and warm courses. The bar was open on friday but closed on saturday. Minimal staffing during sunday checkout but this worked fine. We'll be back.

First or last hotel?

Pool was very cold. The burger was burned to coal. Cooking at some tables inside the restaurant left the air full of smoke. The foldout beds had some very pointy springs. Room was right next to a noisy elevator. Overall not the best experience.

Pretty good hotel in central Säffle

We chose this hotel because it was conveniently located for our purposes, they had a family room (2 adults, 2 kids), they had a charger for electric vehicles (important for us because we came in an electric car that needed charging overnight) they also had a small pool (pretty cold water though).which the kids found nice. No bathtub or minibar in our room, but standard was ok for the price. Breakfast was pretty much a standard hotel breakfast with the usual stuff. There were some alternatives for people allergic to milk/egg/gluten and there were some options for vegetarians as well. The hotel is located near central Säffle and depending on what your needs are the location might or might not suit you needs, but it was easy to find and parking was just next to the hotel. There's a park and a playground behind the hotel. All in all, I'd recommend it if your needs are similar to mine.

Dålig service i receptionen

Trevligt, helt ok hotell. Rummet och frukosten var okej, inget märkvärdig men heller inget att klaga på. Däremot har personalen i receptionen under all kritik. Inget ”välkommen” eller hälsningsfras när vi kom in. Killen som checkade in oss berättade INGENTING om t.ex när frukosten serveras eller var vi skulle gå för att ta oss till rummet. Vi fick endast våra nycklar och vårt rumsnummer av honom, vi fick fråga själv vart vi skulle gå.

Hyggelig mottagelse i resepsjon. Dett var dett. Vi har invitert et fastboende par på middag på Hotellet. Vi finner et 4 manns bord, venter og venter… og venter. Vi sitter nær baren hvor det står 2 stk fra personalet og tjatar - og serverer en øl i ny og ned. Ingen kelner dukker opp hos oss.Etter ca 15min går jeg til baren å spør om det er en kelner på stedet?. Jeg får uten noen videre forklaring 4 stk menyer på en planke utlevert. Har vi havnet på en sportsbar eller en restaurant ?. Vel, vi ser på menyen, bestemmer oss for 4x biff. Ny tur til baren for å bestille - denne gang i en kø med glade gjester som skal ha øl - etter nye 10min i kø ved baren prøver jeg å få bestilt mat. Det bestilles 4xbiff - (her kommer ordet sportsbar) til sitt rette - vi må steke biffene selv på bordet på 400graders steinplater. Jeg spør høflig om det kan være en kokk på kjøkkenet som kan steke biff ?. Får tilbake et høflig svar at noen kokk er ingen vits å spørre Biffen skal stekes ved bordet- sånn er konseptet.!!.. vel - Konseptet hos oss- deres gjester er å forlate et middagsbord uten illeluktende fett i våre klær. Vi forlater bordet uten mat og drikke. Det er flere spisesteder i Seffle - for oss 4 og våre familier. Dagen etter var vi 12stk til bords på en restaurant i Seffle. Frokost: 2 dager - begge dager med kalde egg både bløte og hardkokte - søndag tok vi lang frokost fra 9:00 - 9:50. I det vi forlater frokostsalen som da var tom - kommer personalet inn med 10-12 egg. Hurra.

Fint hotell, rent och prydligt. Rymligt rum. Ingenting att klaga på. Lite åt den dyrare sidan, med tanken på att hyra i Säffle borde väl inte vara hög.

Personalet i resepsjonen hadde ikke noe kunnskap om Tesla destination laderene som er montert på hotellveggen. Kunne ikke være behjelpelig med å få de i gang. Endte med å betale 120kr natta for å få tilgang til parkeringsområdet hvor det var montert vanlige betalingsladere fra pair recharge. Dårlig service i restauranten, servitør kom ikke med bestikk. Tok også lang tid å få bestilt. Maten var derimot helt topp, utsøkt smak til en latterlig lav pris.

Hotellet hadde en triveligere inngangsparti i forhold til forrige uke, da var det en byggeplass.. Jeg fikk et rom som var nærmer beisen og det var bra. Ellers vil jeg si at det var et behagelig og rolig hotell ingen støy ☺️
