Such a cute home! We enjoyed our few hours there. The beds were so comfy. It did smell of mildew. But we got passed it. The esthetics of the mouse were gorgeous.
The home was beautiful and very unique. The common areas like kitchen, dining and living areas were wonderful. It would have been nice to have access to a nicer outdoor space especially since it was the only way to get to the parking space. But overall, it was lovely.
All correspondence with host was prompt, courteous and informative. Layout of house is perfect and comfortable. Amenities were avaliable. Parking can be a bit challenging and neighborhood is ok. They're were no issues, just the general area can be concerning at times, mostly at night. Overall, loved it and will challenging. Overall beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

Took my wife on a getaway weekend for our anniversary and we both loved everything about our stay here. Host was very helpful and communicative, property was well stocked and maintained, location was great, and the dedicated parking was greatly appreciated. Everything went super smooth and easy. Highly recommended!
This house was awesome. Super clean. Comfy beds. Close to the SAFE convention center. Super awesome hosts. Kitchen had everything we needed. Parking was great. Neighborhood felt safe. Would definitely stay again.
I live locally and found this cute downtown Victorian home to house us during a very important wedding weekend. Beds - amazing! House - beautiful and so clean! Check in - easy! Definitely coming back!
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend and we absolutely loved it! The space was stunning, the historical features were absolutely to die for, the bed was so comfy and it just felt like such a comfortable place while still being beautiful. We felt our vehicles were safe in the designated parking spaces and we loved being able to walk to local restaurants and enjoy the city for the weekend. Thank you for letting us stay here!
Quick getaway with friends to watch the A’s. Location is in good proximity to restaurants and Sutter Helath park but not being familiar with the area made getting to the house a bit difficult (nearby construction and one way traffic). It didn’t impact our stay though, house was very clean and amenities were great.
The cutest victorian home. I love that there’s a coffee shop right in the corner. Walking distance to a lot of attractions and stores even target. I would definitely stay again because I have more business trips up north I really recommend this place.
Amazing stay in this beautiful well maintained and updated historical home. The space is much larger than the pictures and perfect for a family of four. Easy access to restraints and cafes within walking distance. Great communication with the host. Highly recommend.
Perfect location to see all of downtown Sacramento. Beautiful mansion in mansion flats with everything you need included. Easy check-in. Great communication from the host. I would definitely recommend this property to anybody visiting Sacramento for any length of time.
Perfect for my friend and I to catch up while relaxing for a quick stay in Sacramento. Nice layout with high ceilings and good size kitchen. The bedding was very nice and comfortable. Hosts were great with communication.
Two bedroom one bathroom home near the convention center. Nicely appointed. The coffee maker and tea kettle were great. The kitchen is amazing and the dining room was a great place to get work done in the evening. It was a little chilly, but warmed up quickly once I figured out how to use the furnace. Could use minor touch ups here and there, but in general, an excellent option. Host was very communicative and easy to work with. I'd stay here again, without hesitation.Thank you
Finding a last-minute stay in downtown Sacramento for a conference was proving to be difficult, with hotel prices sky-high. Then I stumbled upon this hidden gem! Nestled right in the heart of the city, this property is an absolute lifesaver for anyone attending downtown events. The location couldn't be more perfect – a mere 7-minute stroll to virtually everything you need. Beyond the unbeatable location, the home itself is utterly charming and surprisingly spacious. You can truly feel the history within its walls, and I absolutely loved the Victorian story it tells. It's a delightful and unique alternative to the standard conference hotel, and the price was more than perfect.
Historical Charming Victorian with Contemporary Upgrades
We enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous gem of a property. The house has beautiful with extra high ceilings and lovely old fashioned baseboards...There was contemporary upgrades throughout the home. The kitchen was beautifully redone and had stairs that lead down to a cute courtyard/backyard. The bed was super comfortable and sheets were buttery soft. A king bed in each room. We had such a pleasant stay, Definitely would recommend this place for a romantic get away...or two couples enjoying the sights of Sacramento!
comfortable stay for our family of 4 - sway was a good, communicative host. there are some great old alfa romeos being restored on the other side of the alley.
if we are in sac again, this will be a goto
Beautiful Accommodations for a conference getaway.
I attended a conference at the convention center, this location offered an easy walk to and from the conference location. There is a coffee shop 20 yards down the way. I also brought along my 10 month old and mom and the space provided them more than enough space to keep them occupied while I was out all day. The accommodations were beautiful, the décor was on par with a spa like feel/ bed and breakfast atmosphere. The beds were clean and super comfortable. The heating/cooling system worked well. We felt very safe during our stay. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The parking in the back was easy to figure out. We will defiantly stay again in the future.
We were in town to visit our friend. I am transgender and my partner in crime is a fabulous drag queen, so we immediately searched for a gay dance floor Friday and Saturday night. (It was Badlands. Arrive around 11pm.) We searched by location to K Street and came across your property. When we first got to the rental we found a secure location and when I walked through the door and saw the fireplace to the left, 15 foot at least ceilings above my head, real hard wood under my feet. It took a few minutes to find the location of some ceiling lights we were looking for but once we started cooking, it was a chef's delight!! Checkout was painless and this was a rental we were delighted to clean before leaving. Thank you!
My adult kids and I stayed at the Victorian house while visiting family over the Christmas holiday. This home is one of the last remaining designed by the Sacramento architect Joseph Ouchs. It is spectacular! While retaining all of the design elements popular in the late 1800s (ornately carved picture rails, pocket doors), the ceilings are super high making it light and airy so you get arched windows and doorways AND a clean, modern feel. And then you walk into the kitchen. The kitchen has been perfectly renovated with a professional grade Thor cooktop and oven. We spent a lot of time hanging out, making meals together, drinking wine, listening to music (you get the picture). Each room has a king-sized bed and we never had an issue with sharing the one bathroom. Sway/Shelby were extraordinary hosts responding instantly to any emails and checking in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. I highly recommend this rental – especially if you enjoy a little history mixed with a restoration hardware furniture vibe! We will be back soon!
