We arrived at the resort just after 5pm and was handed our keys with a map of where our unit was and a map of the various sites in the area. We noticed the shop was well stocked. When we got to our cabana, the unit was very clean, with a chocolate for each of us, some rusks and tea/coffee packs. The resort is very tranquil. It is close to every site in the lowveld.

Fabulous river frontage
My husband tried unsuccessfully to land some fair sized trout. Cottage very comfortable with fireplace and heaters. Had Sabie trout in the restuarant which was excellent. Perfect base for visiting all the local sites and hikes. Will go back again. Staff discreet and efficient. Sadly, my offer to buy life rights to the cottage as a retirement home was rejected. Ah well….

Expensive mediocre accommodation
Average place. Needs a revamp and not well looked after.
Very hot no Aircon. Otherwise average accommodation at a very high price.
Pros: nice area, relaxing, pools, convenient shop on site
Cons:
Unfriendly owners / managers / shop employees
Aged (dirty) bedding needs replacement
Uncomfortable beds
Dirty extractor fan in bathroom
Cutlery / Utensils aged - needs replacing
Overpriced
Overall:
Nice stay in relaxing environment, but the owners should be guest orientated, friendly & approachable. More detailed cleaning of units. Bottom bedroom had a mouldy smell. Paying attention to finer details, like informing guests on check in that braai grids must be taken from the shop with a deposit, and ensuring that units are spotless clean will lead to better ratings. Seriously consider replacing mattresses & bedding
Sabie is a great location for visiting the eastern Transvaal area. Fantastic scenery and good activities nearby.
The on site restaurant was the best we sampled in Sabie
The heated pool was a good extra for our mid winter visit.
Accommodation was comfortable.

Okay!
It was a bit expensive for a basic self catering facility for max 4 persons, and the unit was a bit old, and smelt as though it had been closed up for a while. But overall the resort offers a lot, and I would likely go there again!

Had fantastic dinner at old figtree restaurant in town, lots of South African foods to try !
Security gate and guard presence reassuring
wir hatten 2 Challets in dieser Anlage, die Einrichtung war zwar einfach aber sehr sauber und die gesamte Anlage war sehr gepflegt.

Good value staying in Sabie.
Charming holliday park in a lyshus green area. Chalaisvin good standard. Fantastic warm pool. Good and friendly service. Very good value for the price. Perfect base for exploring the beautiful area.
Wonderful studio apartment style room walking distance from the Sabie river. Lot of outdoor facilities. The only thing lacking was an air conditioner in our room.
Merry pebbles is a perfect place to stay with calm and serene atmosphere.

Good spot after touring the Blyde River Canyon
I booked this quickly the same day using the iPad app while driving through Blyde River Canyon, and when I arrived in Graskop, which I had searched for a place to stay in, I was a bit surprised to discover that this site was actually in Sabia, a good 20 km away. That's not the fault of the hotel, of course, but my own, and maybe partially the designer of the app.
Anyway, this meant that we arrived at the hotel just as it was getting dark and soon before the reception closed. Everything was fine and the site felt secure, although we drove past a semi-scary-looking informal settlement just before reaching Sabie. This must be a good place for keen fly-fishers, with a river running straight through the property.
