This was an absolutely comfortble, convenient, secure and wonderful hotel stay. Officially my "Go-To" Hotel when i visot Saarbrucken. 5 minute walk frim the main train station, stores, restauranst, amd shopping mall. Staff extremely courteous, pleasant and professional. Prices more than reasonable.

The room and the hotel were really clean. And it is really quiet in the room, which is for me the most important. The only negative thing from my point of view about not to clean the room during the stay: this is for me only a way to spare money with the convenient excuse to protect the environment. All in all, I find this greenwashing quite annoying.

This is a very nice, friendly hotel very close to excellent public transport and practically in the city centre. I really cannot imagine a better place, better value for money if you have business to do in Saarbruecken and surrounding areas. 4 hours by train to London, 2 hours to Paris or Frankfurt, short trip to Luxembourg.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at IntercityHotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and my room was impeccably clean and attractive (the small refrigerator was especially welcome). In lieu of daily room cleaning they offered vouchers for drinks at the bar downstairs, which I appreciated. The location is walkable from the train station and to the major tourist sights, and the area is safe for walking even late at night. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Nice hotel but bad experience

Spending two nights for business in Saarbrucken. The Hotel was nice and the personnel at the checkin was very nice and kind. Breakfast was good. The position of the hotel was nice as it is close to the central station and not so far from the city center. The problem: the sink in the bathroom was stuck and the water was not flowing. I immediately ask for a technical intervention but at the reception they told me that the technician is not working during the afternon (my checkin was at 3pm) and the day after I would have the sink fixed. The next day, there was no intervention and I left the hotel with the sink stuck. First, the hotel should have offered me another room and, even worse, they did not fix the problem.

A big plus, air conditioning what works! The breakfast is not what I expected. Fruit Salad looks terrible like out of a tumble dryer. All the food including yogurt is low quality. A bummer since the rest of the hotel is good. Very confusing parking in terms getting the hotel tariff. The elevator outside is a total mess. It stinks and it is filthy, over 2 days it always had something else in there i needed to avoid to step in. I did feel unsafe overall outside and up the road. Lots of noise at night as both nights drunk people walking, screaming and singing at night several times.

Disappointed

disappointed that they do not hv kettles, coffee machines run their rooms. Disappointed that they asked that I pay extra to stay 2 hrs longer in room, especially after staying more than 15 nights in the hotel over the last 3 months. No lunch or dinner service and no effect to make the 'small bar area' feel a little cosy so you feel relaxed.

The breakfast area was chaotic and the staff could not keep up with replenishment of breads, spreads, and cold cuts. Lines were too long at the espresso machines. I suggest preparing coffee carafes to be served at the table as an option. I could imagine busy breakfast time volumes are not a surprise so it was odd that the hotel seemed unprepared. Otherwise, the experience was perfect: This hotel is clean and conveniently located.
