De Boerstee offers a unique stay in a monumental farmhouse from 1786, combining authentic charm with modern comfort. Here, you literally sleep surrounded by stories of the past, yet with all the conveniences of today.

De Boerstee breathes history. The original details and old wooden floors reflect the farm life of centuries ago. Staying at De Boerstee is not just spending the night, it’s a true experience for young and old. You can even sleep in an original bedstee, a traditional Dutch box bed.

The interior feels like a small museum: everywhere you look, you’ll find antique furniture, historical objects, and artwork, each piece telling part of the 250-year story of life in Drenthe

From January 2026, guests can enjoy our completely redesigned wellness area, including a sauna, jacuzzi, and outdoor shower. The perfect place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring.

We have 7 bedrooms in total, consisting of:
• 3 double rooms
• 1 single room
• 3 traditional (bedstee) box beds (2 measuring 130 x 190 cm and 1 measuring 120 x 175 cm)

The box beds (bedstee) are suitable for two children or one adult.
This means the house can accommodate up to ten adults, with four adults sleeping individually in the box beds.
Alternatively, you can stay with six adults and seven children.
