The house has amazing views. It was very clean. The communication was the best I have ever had with a host! I would highly recommend!! We spent a lot of time enjoying the hot tub while looking at the views and so much wildlife right outside the deck!!
The house was very clean. The beds were actually pretty comfortable, which I'm picky. The only complaint I have was the cookewear desperately needs to be replaced. The pans were severely scratched up. Other than that, it was great. The view of the mountain in the evening while in the hot tub was breathtaking. Overall we would definitely stay here again.
View was great with enough privacy. Very clean. Hot tub was perfect. The only thing that would have made it better is if it had a king size bed in the master bedroom. Other than that, it was perfect. We had an amazing, relaxing weekend. Kudos to the owners and property management company.
The property was overall very clean. It was well decorated and comfortable. The hot tub was clean and relaxing, and the view was one of the best I've had while staying in Ruidoso. I would definitely stay again.
We had such a wonderful time. The property is very clean, everything worked perfectly. The view is gorgeous and we were able to see the July 4th fireworks from the deck!

Ruidoso rain dance
It was very nice. The management is very friendly. I wish the beds were at least a queen. King sized would have been amazing
House was really nice. Clean and accurately stocked. Hot tub was perfect. Owners didn't overdose it on chlorine that would immediately turn you into an itchy prune. Special treat was the abundant wildlife. Wild horses and elk was special. Nice get away.
Late review. It's been since April 2019 that we stayed but I wanted to leave review. We truly enjoyed are time here. The location was quiet and relaxing. I really liked the porch surround that allowed you to enjoy the scenery. It was very clean. Mgmt was easy to work with. Overall we enjoyed our trip and plan to stay again at some point.
little problem with hot tub, may have been water level, but only happened on last night

Outstanding views, great wraparound porch, and comfortable inside!
This cabin is built to take advantage of the fantastic view and the location in the woods. It lives as if there are no other homes around. Loved relaxing on the porch, but you can relax inside too and watch TV. The driveway is steep, and the M.Bath is a bit too small but having a 2nd bathroom is great. Neither of those take away from the livability and 5 star rating of this cabin. Deer and elk sightings right on property! (Mgmt. company employees pleasant and helpful.) Enjoy your stay as we did.
Great views, no functional pot bellied stove inside
This was a good first time cabin in the Ruidoso area for our family to spend Thanksgiving. We got snow and discovered the electric pot bellied stove shown in the pictures is merely for show as it does nothing to provide warmth to the living area. The heater did fine, but the stove was viewed as ambiance only, no real heat source. The cabin was clean, well appointed and very functional. The location was great to get to groceries or any other location in town within minutes. I would certainly recommend it, as we saw deer twice a day feed off the corn provided by the owners, and the bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms clean.
The cabin is absolutely lovely. The terrain made for very difficult navigation with the rain for my husband with two lame knees and for our doodle dogs. When we got to the bottom of the drive to walk our pups there were aggressive dogs running loose each day. Also skunk sightings on the property both morning and night each day. My recommendation would be not to take pets and to ensure uou are in good physical shape if you plan to fully enjoy the location. Again everything gets 5 stars except neighborhood.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities, communication
Disliked: Amenities
If you have any knee, hip or balance issues the high incline and railway tie steps are very steep and difficult to traverse. The towels were very smelly, like mildew from an uncleaned washer. Disgusting and need replaced. The company also askes you to wash/put up dishes, clean counter tops, haul off your trash to the dumpster 1/4 mile away, when there is a green metal trash bin right outside the kitchen window this is very inconvenient for guests upon departure. Also ridiculous to have guests do all of this when you've paid a cleaning fee! Everything, mirrors, shower heads are way too high. I am 5'3 and could not see the top of my head in the mirror in the front bathroom. My husband and I travel at least a dozen times a year and always use vacation rentals and have never been asked to do all of this. Also, zero amenities such as shampoo, body wash etc. Every place we have ever rented has provided these items. You also have to call when you leave, otherwise you'll be charged different amounts based on the time. Crazy!! Just stay elsewhere where you'll get more for you money with so much less hassle.
The management company is wonderful. I messed up on the dates (a day early 🤪 and they managed to get us a place for the night. Also somehow locked my key inside and they came promptly and let me in. Thank you! The place is great except its a long steep haul bringing luggage up and down. That is the only negative.
I had already been staying in beautiful Ruidoso for 3 months and my family came to experience the town I had been working in. We vacationed Christmas week, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. It was everything I hoped for my family. Perfect central location.
