We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house was very cozy and the beds were comfortable. We had the added bonus of the local elk relaxing in the back. Definitely worth the stay.
We loved our stay! It was my kiddos (12 & 6), my Dad, and me. The driveway was a bit steep but workable. My daughter and Dad loved the Hot Tub. The fieplace was cozy and couches comfortable. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay.We given got to see a Wild Horse our last day and it was truly magical.
This property was clean and decorated very cute. Everything in cabin worked and was well stocked with linens and kitchen items. Nice view and hot tub worked as it should. Good location which was close to town but had feel of being in mountains. Quiet location as well.
This house was very spacious and cozy. The 3 rooms and 2 bathrooms provided plenty of space for our family. The enclosed back yard was great for our dogs! It is centrally located, and on a quiet street. We had a nice stay.
Was a great location not to far from anything. Quiet place. Perfect size for the 3 of us. Stairs was kinda hard when your outta shape or handicap. But would rent again.
The house was nice. Ruidoso is a beautiful place. The only problems were the internet wasn’t working properly, and they didn’t have any soaps, shampoos or laundry detergents. Other than that it was great.
Very convenient and safe location. The furnishings were excellant. Kitchen could use an update ...cabinet drawers, microwave, stove, dishes, coffee maker were older.we ourselves are older seniors, but still like to have the conveniences of home when traveling to a destination like Ruidoso. Everything was fine in the house (including the kitchen), but I chose not to use it because I did not want the hassle of bringing out my own pans, Silverware and kitchen utensils to cook. Instead, we just went out to eat versus going full mo nty on unpacking everything but the kitchen sink. The home was comfortable and in good order, with good amenities. CHECK IN was a little bit harder, as we were in town for an art show, and were busy from the time we arrived, until when we wanted to check in. I had my notifi ations rurned off on my phone, so I missed the requezt for signi g the contract; even though I had paid. The hot tub and wifi/ TV were out before we checked in, due to an electric storm. The Manager on duty for the property was excellant; very quick to resolve both issues and we were completely satisfied with their attentiveness!! Overall a very good stay! I made an error at checkout: in my rush to hurry and get on v rbe road, I forgot to leave the clea i g staff a gratuity I will rectify this mistake when we arrive home, as it is equally important for the customer to acknowledge when people sincerely try to do a good job.
The house itself was okay. Improvements on cleanliness & level of standards needs improvement. There was food under 2 of the beds. There were multiple chipped glasses & mugs and when we notified management, they wanted to keep some of them. Some of the pans were unusable because they were scratched so badly. Someone has already pointed this out in the reviews and they’ve done nothing about it. The ceiling fan in master & hot tub were broken, and this information was not disclosed to us. I had to be proactive about everything: check in procedures, getting some of the above fixed, asking why a service man was at the house. They have the thermostat controlled. Also there should be a note about the 2 very steep staircases since most people will be bringing luggage. Overall, the level of standards needs improvement. I guess you should consider if you are okay as a bare bones option and a mediocre experience.
Great location. House sleeps 6 but hot tub seats 3-4. Cooking pans very old and finish scraped off. Grill is basically an open flame so we burned some filet. Thermostat in home seemed to change on its own. We were waking up to some cold mornings. Was nice to have a fire in the fireplace but bring your own wood. Toilet paper and paper towels very cheap, only 2 trash bags were left for a 4 night stay for 5 of us. We brought and cooked our own food. Kitchen table is nice for meals and card games. Water pressure in showers was not great. There was no ice maker or trays that we could find to make ice. Broken glasses were in cabinet so not sure how cleaners would miss that? The price was fair so maybe that justifies some of the other issues? We’ve rented many homes and this one definitely not the nicest. Overall though, check in and out was easy. Be prepared to carry your belongings up a lot of stairs. Location of the home is great relative to the ski resort and other attractions. We did have elk come right through the back yard so that was cool.
We absolutely loved our stay! I work in healthcare and with the craziness of COVID it was great to get away and just relax! Be warned there was an issues with internet, in my opinion those things happen so not a reflection of the property. Also there was no DVD player, we had brought several DVDs to watch, assuming there would be a DVD player but again that was our assumption so we just took a quick drive to Walmart and bought a little DVD/blue ray disc player for cheap. We loved the Jacuzzi at night, it was cold out with a great wind break from the house and gorgeous star filled sky! The beds were super comfy! We slept like babies! Wish we could have stolen the furniture without them knowing! If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, Deer Crossing is a great choice!
We had a great time. It was great to come back from skiing ll day and have a cozy cabin to come "home" to. The only thing I wish I knew in advance was the steepness of the roads getting to the cabin and of the driveway. However, it wouldn't stop me from renting this cabin again, I would just come better prepared. Overall, we had an amazing stay!!!.
