"Mountain Escape," Our cozy mountain home, Quiet Neighborhood

Come ready to breath in the fresh mountain air and relax in this great mountain home. We named it "Mountain Escape" because it is our place to escape.
The back wall of windows in the living room looks out to a great view. Stepping out on the deck you are in the tops of the trees. There is a hot tub/ spa for relaxing on the deck. Each bedroom has a King bed and en suite bathroom. The basement bedroom has a bunkbed as well as King bed and bathroom. Also, there are 2 portable cribs (bring your own sheet for portable cribs) and a high chair.

Fun Weekend Getaway

This is the perfect stay for people who want to be close enough to town for a trip to the shops but far away enough to enjoy quiet nights staring at the stars. Perfect size for our group of friends with room to spare.

Everything you need

This was the best stocked vacation home we have ever stayed in. It had everything we needed and more. Location was perfect. We loved seeing the wildlife ( deer, elk and turkeys) in the neighborhood. Everyone had their own space including bathrooms. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful & clean

The location is close to town and in a very nice neighborhood. We've enjoyed the wildlife viewing which includes elk, wild horses, turkey, and deer. The neighborhood is quiet and the home backs up to trees which gives a feeling of total seclusion for great relaxation. The interior of the home is beautiful and clean. We enjoyed each room having it's own bathroom and the kitchen being fully stocked.

Had the best time at mountain escape, the home was lovely and spacious! Super clean and organized, kept well and we will be back! Love ruidoso, and we were in the perfect spot, middle of everything just about!

Mountain Escape

My family and I make it a point to travel to Ruidoso/Alto area at least 1x a year and like to rent different cabins each time. This time we brought additional family members who have never been to the area. This by far has been our favorite home we have had the pleasure of staying in. The scenery was amazing and the home had everything we needed to make our trip enjoyable. The family was amazed at the space and comfort this home had to offer. We will be staying here again!

Amazing home!

Not often do you find King size beds in every bedroom, and each its own bath. Beautiful home, with such thoughtful details. Kitchen with great detail on your needs. And then there is so much wonderful outside sitting, hot tub and beautiful views. We saw elk, horses, deer, turkey and a fox while sitting on the deck.. Highly recommend this home!

Family Trip

Our family just loved staying at this beautiful home in Alto! The kitchen had everything we needed, and all neatly labeled! Every bedroom had its own large bathroom, and there were plenty of beds. Beautiful deck and view, plus a nice, clean and large hot tub! The owner, Jan was very helpful, as well. Highly recommend this lovely home!!

Mountain Escape

Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful home for your guests. My family of 8 enjoyed the stay very much. Everyone had their own space with room to spare. The house was tidy and the beds comfortable. Every room having their own bathroom was GREAT! The area is so nice and close to all the popular spots. Getaway from Texas Heat

The home was clean, spacious with comfortable beds. Each bedroom with it's own ensuite made the stay comfortable for all. The house has great spaces to hangout. The back porches whether up or down, great screened in area. The neighborhood is great for long walks with sightings of wildlife...wild horses, elk, wild turkeys, deer... it made a perfect getaway.

The property was amazing. Very comfortable and relaxing. Very Clean, weather was perfect. Here for a wedding. Hot Tub clean and water temp was good. I do recommends getting a step to get into the hot tub. Possible to have a chair in the master bedroom to sit and apply makeup since you have a makeup mirror. We have stayed at numerous rentals over the years in Ruidoso but this is the first time we've stayed at the same place twice. Glad we did. The house is well stocked and well suited for tall families to meet together (3 king sized beds on main level and top floors). Everyone commented "this is the perfect place." It was.

This house is amazing! Exceeded our expectations! Kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could ever need to cook a meal! The layout and the size of beds is perfect for multiple families. The common areas are big and open. The neighborhood is very nice and beautiful! It’s tucked away close to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping! Porches are amazing! Bathrooms are stocked with hairdryers and straighteners shampoo and conditioner! The little walkout basement was so fun for our kids! J would stay here again!!

Property Owner Was Extremely Helpful

The property is everything it is listed to be. The accommodations were terrific and the views were beautiful. This property is 3 stories with multiple rooms on the top floor. All of the bedrooms were very room and had there own bathrooms. My mother accidentally left her wallet at the residence and I was able to communicate directly with the owner to have her let us back in to get the wallet, several hours after departure. That's top notch customer service!

Amazing cabin, everything you need and more

The cabin is located in a very nice neighborhood. Lots of deer, elk and turkeys around the neighborhood. The cabin is very spacious for a big family and the decorations are beautiful. The kitchen is fully FULLY stocked (everything you need to cook and even more, it even has 2 microwaves and 2 ovens). The dishwasher was perfect for us. Bathrooms are in great shape, very clean and we always had hot water. Beds are super confortable and they even have two firmness types of pillows which worked perfect for us. The pack-n-play and the high chair worked grear for our baby. We loved the cabin, we hope to come back soon.

Great place, ridiculous rules

The home is beautiful! I gave it a 4 star because of the trash rule. You pay a pretty hefty cleaning fee, BUT if you leave trash in the house and don't take it to the trash you're going to be charged an additional fee. That's ok, but the trash bin is .5 a mile=12 minutes away. The master suite on the main level was so cold the first day and to hot the second. Probably our fault for not reading something somewhere as there is a lot of posted information through the house to read. The house is absolutely beautiful and has everything you need to host and cook. Typically most of them don't and I brought everything I needed to cook a meal and the house had it all down to seasonings and flour. There is an abundance of wildlife, deer, turkey and elk that pass through in the mornings and evenings. The owners communicate very well and easily. The kids room in the basement was very cool and they were all excited about it. Being very close to ski Apache was nice, although we didn't ski this time. I always try to start the towels in the very least before I leave a property and having the laundry detergent and dryer sheets accessible was nice. Again, this is a 5 start home, the trash bit was just a little frustrating.
