I had a amazing time at pousada Samambaia .It’s very close to Quadrado and The owner Gaston is very nice .All the rooms are very comfortable and clean .I will go back there for sure .

Large rooms, staff keeps the pace spotless, friendly staff, pool and multiple hot tubs,adequate but less than average breakfast.

The property itself is nice however no direct access to the beach like other nearby hotels. It is the closest hotel to the ferry and to a couple of the dining options by the ferry. When we arrived (at 3:00 PM), they did not have a clean room for us and we had to wait around for an hour before receiving a room. In addition, the next day, our room was not cleaned at all until asking mulitple times at the front desk for someone to provide new sheets and towels for us. The hot water is really nice at the hotel. Bed sheets are VERY thin. I like that the rooms have hammocks outside of them to rest outside. Our wifi did not work in our room so we always had to be in common spaces for wifi to work or out on our hammock.
