Really great house. Plenty of space….great kitchen all updated. Plenty of beds. Outside area is really nice…deck, hot tub, boathouse are all well done. Very clean and comfortable . It was even decorated for Christmas. It helped make our trip very special.
House was beautiful with lake view & easy access to dock. All the water toys were provided that we could use. All of the amenities we needed plus some. We enjoyed our stay. Loved being in a quiet & peaceful area.
Fantastic week in a beautiful home. This home has everything you could possibly need. Quiet cove on the lake, canoe, SUP, jacuzzi, ping pong table and a Blackstone grill. The home was clean and well stocked with everything we needed to cook at home. We ate out at Brookland Eats, Buoys and Aunt Millie's all were wonderful. We also rented a pontoon boat from NC Marine and toured the lake for the day. If you are looking to rent a boat I would highly recommend them, Kyle was fantastic! There is nothing negative I could say about this rental experience. Would definitely rent this home again.
Beautiful home with mice and urine stinch on sheets!!
Upon arrival I was very impressed with this home. It was seemingly perfect for my family trip for my anniversary. That soon went downhill. As my husband and I prepared for bed (we were exhausted from our road trip and hadn't arrived until late night), there was an overwhelming stinch of urine soon as we got near the bed in the master bedroom. I pulled the layers of bedsimg back looking for stains and saw none but the snell was still very overwhelming, like the aheers were washed but the smell didnt come out. It was so strong my husband remarked it must be animal urine from a cat or dog. It was very late at night so we ended up just bunking with the kids in another bedroom.
DAY 2, our morning started with a trip to the local Walmart to purchase our own bedding. Later that day while in the living room,
The home had a great dock for our boat and it was located in a quiet little cove. The house was equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again!
The house was clean, and the dock was wonderful. Lovely view from the hot tub and decks. We loved the paddle boards and canoe. House had everything we needed!
Such a beautifulplace to get away and unplug. My family enjoyed the wonderful Lake view, fishing, enjoying the paddle boat and paddle board, waking up to baby deer in the yard and having s’mores at night in the fire pit. Wonderful stay! We’ll come again.
What a beautiful home in such a scenic place! We enjoyed every minute of our vacation here this summer. We picked up groceries in Roxboro on the way there and did not have to leave until our trip was over and it was time to return home. Our children (and we adults!) enjoyed the canoe and paddleboards tremendously! We will be back!
We had an amazing time here! This property has everything you need to have an awesome trip. From the amazing lake water toys , grill , clean and comfy beds, this place was great.
Some advice for next time , bring bug spray for night time dock fishing. We will be back!
Booked this house for my husband’s birthday. Needed a much needed peaceful get away and this was definitely it. The house is beautiful. The location on the lake and the quietness was amazing. My husband caught a fish within the first 20 minutes of being there! We caught bass and cat fish and we are not expert fishermen! Fully equipped with everything you need for a get away. My husband fell in love with the grill on the deck and has now requested one for Father’s Day. There was a small hiccup the first night but it didn’t ruin the trip. Communication was quick and easy. Did I say amazing? AMAZING!
This was a beautiful home on the lakefront that offered fishing, a fire pit, board games, and ping pong. We had a wonderful Father's day celebration for one of the best dad's in the world. The only complaint we had was when someone came out to mow the lawn the day after our arrival. He woke our grand daughter from her nap and the noise slowed the fishing and our conversations for about an hour or more. I hope this next comment only improves the customer service provided in the future. If you have renters please let the maintenance people know so they don't go out and disturb guests during their stay. Other than that it was quite and great for making lasting memories. One last thing that has nothing to do with this wonderful property is the late check in time. Due to the 4pm check in time it is really like you only stay for one day when you pay for two. I hate that, when check out time is at 10am. Just some food for thought.

Cute place but bad communication before/during our stay
Overall, a clean property. The beds were fine and its an easy walk to the dock. Cutlery and dinnerware were cheap/plastic. We were unable to use the lake at all and communication was poor from the beginning. The lake flooded a week before our trip and caused significant boat and dock damage. We were unaware of this. The evening we were due to arrive, the property mgr sent a late msg that the lake authority was doing a sonar survey until 7/28. Our vacation ended on the 7/21. The manager didn't mention flooding or possible water contamination. No information was present on the lake website so we figured they were just surveying the lake, and a little canoeing was allowed around the dock. The next day, a local official from the lake came to our dock by boat and told us about the extent of the problem, and that the lake may be off limits all summer. They're waiting on water quality tests. We were unable to get in the water, in any capacity, for the entirety of our "lake house" vacation. Day 3, we were surprised by a boat that came to fix the dock and a repairman for one of the owner's boats. Zero heads up by the manager. We had planned that time at the dock before the kids' naptime and the daily thunderstorm but we couldn't sit there because of the repair work. We would've planned differently had we known ahead of time. Flooding was out of the owners hands, however overall communication was inadequate and we were unable to enjoy the whole point of renting a house on the lake.
Awesome house with premium touches; amazing towels, shower soaps, cooking spices, paper products, paddle board...all included. House has a perfect layout to hangout with friends and enjoy time together. We will be back!
For those seeking a perfect spot on a North Carolinian lake you couldn’t find a better place to play and relax. Attention to detail within the home as well as the outdoor area was obvious. Kudos to the owners and their management team..
Amazing find !! Perfect for our family. We enjoyed the quiet cove ! Serene mornings on the deck with coffee were priceless. Impeccable taste with the interior design. Shannon and Kevin were great as usual with our boat rental. Fantastic stay.
Our family stayed in this beautifully renovated home while racing at VIR. The kitchen is amazing and has everything you would need. It was a little too cold though for us to enjoy the lake amenities. We did relax in the hot tub while taking in the gorgeous view. A perfect little getaway!
