Convenient hotel at city centre

It’s a hotel right at the city centre with easy access to shops and restaurants. Also, one of the main locations to get picked up for different activities and very friendly and helpful staff.

A very welcoming hotel close to everything in town. Staff were so welcoming. The room was nice and clean. Very close to transportation to the train, airport and Santa’s village. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent choice in Rovaniemi

Excellent location in the city center of Rovaniemi. The hotel itself is rather functionally furnished, but offers all the amenities which a traveller might need. The breakfast is excellent and prepares you well for a day of exploration in Lapland. The friendly staff is an enormous asset - they helped us a few times with taxi bookings and even helped us to find an intercity bus schedule. The only downside is a somewhat neglected maintenance - there’s quite a bit of wall chipping which is probably a result of customers hitting them with big bags. However, those do not diminish the experience. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Clean but disappointed

Rovaniemi is a small city so I’m not sure what the other hotels are like. While the service and location of this hotel was excellent, I didn’t understand the 4star hotel rating. There were holes in the curtains, the conditioner was almost empty when we arrived, there was no hand lotions, the shower rack was falling off the wall. There’s no safe in the room so we had to travel everywhere with our passports and valuables. I just expected a bit nicer accommodation for a 4star hotel. Again, the staff were friendly and the room was clean so I don’t want to seem ungrateful.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms are very clean, beds are not the comfiest, but we had everything we needed. The location is perfect for transport links, tour operating offices and restaurants. Thank you

Lovely, comfortable stay

We stayed for the night on our way to Ranua. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and even something for our youngest, fussy daughter. We wanted to go to Santa’s village in the morning before getting the bus to Ranua and were able to leave our luggage in their cupboard whilst we did. The bus goes from across the road to Santa’s village.

The receptionists we met on Sunday around 1pm were super friendly and accommodating. The two receptionists working on Monday 5pm were super not friendly and they did not even want to open the locker room for us to get our luggages. They also asked us to use the bathrooms in the restaurant not inside the hotel. Their attitudes were as cold as the weather in rovaniemi.

客室は普通に綺麗でした。サウナに行くのにビーチサンダル持参しても良い。水着の人もいるけど部屋のタオルを身体に巻いてもOK,フロント脇に電子レンジがあった。気がつくのが遅くて使わなかったけど、使えるなら、地元スーパーでお弁当買って温めて部屋で食べられるかも。ホテルに質問してみたら良さそう。

Wir waren 1Woche im Sokos Hotel Vaakuna. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und wir fühlten uns sofort wohl. Auch das Doppelzimmer war top. Sehr sauber, Wasserkocher mit Tee, Kaffee, Kakao standen jeden Tag bereit. Zimmerservice täglich top. Als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auch hervorragend, da die Bushaltestelle gleich gegenüber war. Frühstück war alles da, was man benötigte und auch genügend Sitzplätze waren vorhanden. Wir haben die ganze Woche nicht auszusetzen gehabt. Wir würden dieses Hotel jedem empfehlen!!!!

Gutes Stadthotel für wenig Gepäck

Etwas mehr Ablagefläche/Strauraum resp. überhaupt ein Schrank wäre schon noch wünschenswert. Sonst zweckmässig und gut, mit kleinem Kühlschrank sowie Wasserkocher, Tee etc. Frühstück sehr gut, grosse Auswahl. Von den Hotels.com-Gold-Mitglied-Vorteilen habe ich überhaupt nichts bemerkt.
