This is a great hotel especially prior to a cruise. It’s very walkable. Staff are very friendly and took time to answer all questions. Nice little park at end of pier.

Super convenient for our pre-cruise stay since it’s across the street from the cruise terminal. It’s also a short walk to a train station if you want to venture out a bit, but there are local choices for dinner and coffee, etc. The breakfast in the hotel was good, but a little pricey.

Stayed at the Hotel New York for one night prior to our cruise. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to cruise terminal. It is an historical building right on the pier in Rotterdam. The staff was excellent and the room well-appointed and very clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel for a pre/post cruise stay or your visit to Rotterdam.

Enjoyable stay, would return

Nice location near cruise ships. The hotel is cruise themed and feels like it inside. Rooms are spacious and give the feeling of a 1890s cruise with vintage pictures and furniture. Definitely would return.

Perfect location for a layover before or after a cruise (on Holland America especially). The hotel is the former headquarters of Holland America, dating to 1901, and has been lovingly restored with nods to their cruise ship history. There are plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood and access to water taxis and water buses for sightseeing. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent and popular with locals. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Rotterdam
