Tranquility Oaks Retreat

Winding oak lined drive leads to our large retreat house that is situated beside semi private 23 acre shallow, but scenic lake. Enjoy afternoon breezes on wood decks and sit and enjoy restful views of nature. Turtles, ducks, Egrets, Ibis, Spoonbills, fish, and even deer occasionally come for visits on this lovely property. Its a great place to rest, unwind, and be refreshed.

The home has 3 floors, each with bedrooms and bathroom. Each has common areas great for gathering in smaller groups. The large open kitchen is stocked with dishes and cooking supplies you need to prepare meals that can be served in the dining room, or out on one of the decks.

Tranquility Oaks Retreat is 8 miles from Alvin, so it feels secluded, and yet it isn't too far away from other activities. It is 15 minutes from Highway 288 which can take you to many popular local attractions in Houston like the zoo or museums, and about 20 miles to the NASA Johnson Space Center via FM 528. Its also less than an hour drive to the beaches at Galveston Island.

Hi, the family enjoyed the stay. Everything was nice, neat and comfortable. We had 2 issues with bugs in the dining roo. At night the lights above the table attracted too many bugs. That area needs more insulation. We were not able to take hot showers or baths, the hot water runs out.

Wonderful lake retreat
This is by far my best stay at any rental property. Everything was absolutely perfect for a large group everything we needed was there. Nice and quiet great place I can sit on the back deck and watch the wildlife all day. The hosts were great no complaints here 5 star service I recommend you book.

Everyone loved the property! The kids had a great time & the adults had a chance to connect with nature. It’s was a great place for everyone meet, well supplied and comfortable beds. Very peaceful but just be cautious it can be very dark at night so plan to drive before it gets dark. Right next to the lake so you will wake up to an amazing view! It is the wildlife so don’t be surprised to see insects. We had a wonderful stay, much thanks to Deborah and family for having us.

Great Group Getaway
We were a little wary initially booking because there were no reviews yet, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Very clean, lots of beds. We brought in a large group from Texas A&M for a retreat weekend and it was perfect. There was extra seating and more beds than mentioned. It was right on the water and there was seating on the patio sit outside. The top floor overlooked the living room which gave us room to spread out. We would definitely visit again!
