This is our second stay at Three Ridges. Such a well kept property and the view from the front deck is spectacular. It’s also a. Great area with easy access to so many breweries and wineries. Can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing weekend at Three Ridges!
My boyfriend and I were driving home to New Jersey from Tennessee and decided to do a short stop in Virginia for a weekend. We wanted something relaxing and peaceful and we got exactly that! The cabin truly is one of a kind. The views are breathtaking, and the interior decorating is perfect for the cozy cabin feel! Doug and Roxanne were a pleasure to work with. If I recommend you do one thing in the area, take the 20 minute drive to Ravens Roost Overlook…UNBELIEVABLE VIEWS!!! Highly recommend this cabin if you love nature, tranquility, and beautiful scenery!

After being here in March, it was an easy choice to return. The home is well-equipped and very comfy. The weather was wonderful and so peaceful. Lots of deer and birds to watch and of course, the beautiful mountains!

Perfection!
Can't say enough glowing things about our stay here. From the impeccable interior to the spectacular views, this hidden gem did not disappoint. Spent a good deal of time on the expansive porch, smelling the sweetness of the sun-baked wood and the freshness of the meadow stretched out ahead. A great place to unwind and enjoy those lucky enough to join you. Bravo!

Beautiful and unique
This was exactly the unique and charming stay we were looking for! Great location to stay and visit Crabtree falls and the three ridges area. The cabin itself is on an idyllic, picturesque meadow and the hand hewn wood working displayed by the cabin construction is amazing. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!

Wonderful Country Cabin
The cabin is just perfect if you want to escape to the country for a quiet retreat. We watched deer and wild turkeys from the porch. There are beautiful views of the mountains. The cabin itself is very comfortable and homey. It could not have been better.

It was a perfect weekend getaway. If anybody is looking to spend a quiet weekend, away in the mountains, surrounded by the forest, this cabin is the perfect place to be. It was an amazing experience. Would love to visit again.

Charming Location
This was our second time staying at Roseland. We enjoy the view and the unique antiques in the cabin. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. The cabin seems remote but is conveniently located to a variety of activities.

Three Ridges Cabin
This property exceeded all our expectations. It is cozy, comfortable, well furnished and supplied. It is very private with stunning blue ridge mountain views. The location is close to Wintergreen Resort/Ski area, Blue Ridge Parkway, dining, shopping, antique stores and charming rural towns. We are already planning our next visit to this beautiful spot!

Best of Everything!
We come to the Nelson area every year for our anniversary and this was by far the best yet! The location of the cabin is perfect. It's off the main road but close enough to enjoy the amenities of the area. The property itself is breathtaking and the wildlife is a total show! Every morning at 7:30 we watched the deer cross the front field and then the cows would come to the bottom of the property right after. The early afternoon brought woodpeckers and cardinals! It was amazing! Our only suggestion would be to have binoculars. Many thanks to Doug!

This cabin was sparkling clean, well stocked, and decorated nicely. It was comfy and cozy with convenient gas fireplace and quilts to keep you warm. Absolutely loved the window seat for napping, reading and enjoying the amazing view of the mountains.

Just like home
I can't say enough about this cabin and the Dormans. They were great to work with and their home is simply amazing. It's super cozy and VERY clean. We went to celebrate my 40th and it was also the weekend of hurricane Ian so the weather was less than ideal, but we still enjoyed the cabin and the area when we could. We lost power for a few hours, but the gas range was handy to have. They have everything you need to enjoy your stay. Check out Lovingston Winery as well as Sweet Bliss Bakery if you get the chance. My daughter left a necklace behind and was so upset about it. The Dormans were kind enough to return it to us. We can't wait to go back.

very nice home with loads of antiques. comfortable and supplied with all that anyone would need. we were disappointed because we could not use the outside gas grill. It had a home/nest of mice in it and one was running around having a party therefore we just cooked everything inside. We did leave one day early because we had a family issue we needed to get home to address, but the stay was very relaxing and rejuvenating.

The Perfect Log Cabin Experience
My husband and myself celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at this cabin. I always wanted to stay in a log cabin and this was the perfect experience. Our visit was during the summer so we really enjoyed sitting out on the porch on the rocking chairs at night looking at the "firefly" light show and the stars. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything you would need for cooking. A few suggestions for dinners if want to eat out -- We absolutely loved our wine tasting chef's dinner at the Farm at Veritas. Highly recommend that experience. We also loved our dinner at Basic Necessities which is right down the street. Of course, you can't go wrong with Devil Backbone Basecamp! If looking for a spa experience - don't miss the Wintergreen Spa. It was wonderful. Thanks Doug for sharing this little piece of heaven with us VRBO renters!

Best Stay Ever! Definitely a Place to Come Back to Again and Again!
We visited Three Ridges Cabin for a weekend getaway stay only minutes from Wintergreen resort! Words and photos cannot capture the beauty of the cabin and the property. It is something you really must see and experience for yourself! The craftsmanship of the hand hewn pieces is incredible. The cabin is the perfect size and checking in was easy! Everything was perfect, from the comfortable beds to the window reading nook! It is clear that a lot of love and care went into this place. The view of the mountains is breathtaking. There is no light or sound pollution, making for incredible stargazing and listening to the sounds of nature. We saw deer and deer tracks in the snow during our stay. This is truly a slice of peace and tranquillity! The hosts are very responsive and accommodating! Thank you, Doug and Roxanne! We will definitely be back!

That view though
The hosts were wonderful with any questions we had. The cabin is cozy, comfortable and has everything you need except personal bathroom stuff. I fell in love with bluebirds and the deer were fun to watch. The view however from the porch is just beautiful. Sunsets were my favorite. It was very relaxing, peaceful and quiet.

Elegant country cabin
My husband and I have stayed in a dozen VRBO properties and this one ranks up there with the very best. We seek beautiful natural settings with comfortable lodgings. The peace and quiet were awesome, as were the sunsets, full moon nights, and welcome storm. Only annoyance was a massive influx of stink bugs (it's that time of year) but that did not damp our enthusiasm for the place-- We'd love to come back.

Tranquil Nature Getaway
This mountain property has an incredible view of the mountains and is full of wildlife...from deer, turkey, hares, and a groundhog to numerous birds including blue birds, orioles, pileated woodepeckers and hummingbirds! The cabin is clean and comfortable, with nostalgic artwork and antiques. The cabin is easily accessible by road for most vehicles and the owner is very responsive to texts. All in all, a wonderful experience and our family is eager to return in the future!

Once a Turkey hen brought all eleven of her young around the cabin and my company and I throughly enjoyed watching them daily. Peace and quiet
This property is a dream and the owner/property manager makes your stay so very easy. My husband and I have been using VRBO for about 10 years now and we have enjoyed 99% of them. Many pictures are not accurate but you will find Doug's place even better than the pictures. Our last rental on the Little Tennessee River in Franklin, NC was a dream but the property manager did not want to answer the simplest questions. Needless to stay--- I did not respond with a review because it would not have been fair to the owner. Property managers are the folks that make your stay enjoyable! The more we use VRBO the more I realize the property manager can make or break your stay. Some owners have realtors managing their property and that can sometimes be a problem. Do yourself a favor if you are looking for peace and quiet in a beautiful setting--- reserve this little cabin today.

Beautiful and well kept!
My wife and I had a great stay here. The house and everything inside was in great shape. We enjoyed beautiful mountain views from the porch, and also had deer in the yard each day. Was a great location for nearby hiking (Crabtree Falls), as well as lots of nearby wineries and breweries. Would definitely recommend!

Great Place to Stay
This was a great place to stay for us. We came down to see the mountains and visit the sites and this place was perfectly located. The house was clean, the AC was a nice touch, and the check in/check out process was super easy to follow. Also, during our stay, there was a family of deer with a new baby that came to play in the front yard, so the porch was an excellent place to watch them. Overall, awesome stay!

Just perfect
We wanted a quiet long weekend away to talk and relax. This cabin was just right. We spent many hours on the porch soaking in the view, but were also able to easily find hikes and eat dinner out. I highly recommend it!

Great location, amazing view!
The four of us had a wonderful stay. It rained all weekend and we did not care. We visited a few local breweries and grilled burgers outdoors. The cabin was well stocked with everything needed, had amazing views and there was plenty of room for everyone. We will definitely come back.
