"Las Islas was an experience of Caribbean luxury. My wife and I spent the last few nights of our honeymoon and were delighted we chose this place. The treetop bungalows were stunning, with particular added comfort in the canopied bed frame and air-conditioning. The balconies offer a private relaxation spot while still enjoying the peacefulness of nature. We even had some monkey visitors to our porch one morning. Breakfasts are included in the rate and we felt they were value for money with an excellent selection of coffee, tea, meats, cheeses, pastries, fruits, and freshly prepared eggs in a scenic waterside setting. Lunches and dinners are additionaly but fairly priced, being prepared to a high standard. The selection of seafoods and wine was a particular highlight. As with the rest of Colombia, be sure to only drink bottled water during your stay as the tap water will leave you with an upset stomach. Overall, we were very impressed with the level of service provided at Las Islas and would recommend it to anyone."

"No hay palabras para describir la experiencia vivida. Empezando por el personal y atención VIP, realmente VIP. José, Damián, no los mencionó a todos porque no recuerdo sus nombres, pero todos fueron fantásticos, nos hicieron sentir como en casa. El lugar, la habitación, el servicio, hospitalidad, en general todo. Mis palabras no le hacen justicia al lugar. Solo puedo decir que es un 100% recomendado. "We were honored to be the first guests after Isla Azul’s reopening under new management. The hotel manager Pedro is exceptionally friendly and customer-focused. He and his team were a highlight of our stay. He coordinated awe-inspiring snorkeling and phytoplankton tours with an experienced local guide. The restaurant chef whipped up delicious local favorites, made to order, and the piña coladas were nice and cold! The hotel was still in the process of renovating during our stay, so I expect that our short list of less-than-perfect’s will be improved in the near future. Overall, the rustic island atmosphere was a welcome respite from the bustle of Cartagena. The accommodations were basic but comfortable (working AC!) and we felt exceptionally looked-after by all the staff. As an added bonus, for others like us who are used to having to shake our shoes every morning in the tropics, there seem to be virtually NO dangerous plants/animals on the island – no poisonous snakes, no sharks, no crocodiles – just hermit crabs and a few mosquitos (and even those weren’t that bad). Looking forward to seeing this hotel blossom and thrive!"

"Samuel was the best service staff we have ever had. He made an effort to learn English words with us while also teaching us Spanish. He definitely made the trip even better. As for the island, it was incredible. The boat ride there and back was 1000x better than a day trip boat I took a day prior with another company. It’s breezy at night on the island which helps keeps the mosquitos away. Would definitely recommend staying at least 2 nights to be able to fully enjoy the island :)"

"Gorgeous spot on a private beach in Baru, highly recommend for a romantic and quiet getaway. Super attentive staff, beautiful rooms, and the grounds were also lovely. We had the entire place to ourselves for a night!"

"It is a great place to relax and unwind. It is a small island; the hotel has only eight guest rooms and welcomes day trippers between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m., the island is left entirely to the overnight guests. During my stay, there were only four guests, which I loved. The bed was very comfortable, the room was spotless, and the air conditioning worked well; the views, food, and cocktails were all excellent, and I give the service a 10 overall. The only thing I would recommend improving is communication regarding transportation. We had a minor issue, but they handled it professionally. I also think the island is best suited for couples; I was traveling with a friend and thought it would be easy to switch to a room with two beds, but I was told that all the rooms had only one bed, though I didn't mind sharing the bed with my friend. I recommend Pao"

"Everything was great! Despite all the reviews, the food was AMAZING! The service great! The only thing i would make a note of was they have a bird named Coco and if she doesn’t like you, she’ll chase you! (First hand experience) but overall, 10/10 would recommend!!!"
