Perfect cottage in the woods by the ocean

Beautiful and comfortable home/cottage in the woods by the ocean. Totally delightful! Our host Erik was wonderful! When we missed the ferry and arrived after 1 am he cheerfully met us and escorted us to his home and our lodgings. He was available every minute to answer questions, suggest places to go, and things to do. The home was immaculate and well furnished. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful stay, highly recommend!

Staying here was by far a highlight of my week in Denmark from the USA to visit my daughter. My daughter and I came to Bornholm for the weekend and could not be happier with our visit! The space is bright, clean and very thoughtfully designed & decorated. Eric was our host and was on top of all the details and very good with communication. He is kind, friendly, helpful and generous. We arrived rather late by taxi from the ferry (less than 15min away) and Eric was there to greet us. The next morning he was happy to me a ride to the airport (less than 10min by car) so I could pick up a rental car. The location of the B&B is very convenient, being close to both ferry terminal and the airport. It is in a quiet woodsy neighborhood with immediate access to a beautiful beach with soft white sand. (Pro tip: Check out the sunset on that beach after sunny day!) We appreciated and highly recommend opting for the breakfast. It was delicious and also very helpful since we didn’t plan ahead and bring anything ourselves and there are no shops within walking distance.) We did however take advantage of the kitchen by making dinner for ourselves - photos of us two as happy travelers with our dinner shown here. (There is a grocery store conveniently located just 6-8min by car on the edge of Rønne plus others in town.) By the end, we felt like we had made a new friend, looking over maps and chatting about family. We feel lucky to have found this gem and dream of coming back someday!

We were super satisfied with our stay in the beautiful and well equipped Penalhuzet. Everything was very nice, including being able to walk on the beach for sunset every evening (the beach is a few minutes away). Nice to be so close to Rønne and the ferry and at the same time being in a quiet setting. The hosts were very welcoming. It is easy to recommend this nice place.

Väldigt nära en fin strand. Dock längre från restaurang och butiker än man kan tro. Bornholm en jättefin ö. Mysiga fiskebyar fina stränder och schyssta golfbanor. Ön rekommenderas.

Charmerende luksus ophold

Luksus afslapning ! Skønne omgivelser og beliggenhed i skov/sommerhusområde med meget kort afstand til fantastiks sandstrand og bænk med gode muligheder for at nyde solnedgang. Værtsparret utrolig hjælpsomme og informative - bl.a. afhentning i lufthavn, cykler til rådighed, tilvalg af udsøgt morgenmåltid og generelt særdeles smagfuld indretninger, værelse, opholdsstue, badeværelse mv. - alt med sans for kvalitet. Vi var aktive med løb, vandring og cykelture og med det for øje (og uden bil) er penalhuzet perfekt. Uden bil vil der være lidt afstand - ca. 4 km - til bylivet i Rønne, hvis det er det man opsøger.

Skønne dage på et dejligt sted

Vi havde 3 overnatninger på Penalhuzet. Eric og Hanne var super søde og stedet var dejligt. Mindre end 100 meter til en god sandstrand med få andre mennesker (og det var i uge 29) og Rønne - med gode indkøbsmuligheder - var få kilometer væk. Jeg anbefaler Menu i Rønne og konditoren/bageren, som og også ligger på vejen ind i Rønne. Gode værelser, god plads,, fin stue/køkken, godt bad/toilet (og en god udendørs brus også). Petanque banen skal heller ikke glemmes, selvom den måske trænger til lidt frisk grus. Stabilt wifi. Vi hyggede os! Madrasser, puder og dyner var gode og stedet var lækkert pænt og rent. Det føltes som “hjemme”. Penalhuzet har mine varmeste anbefalinger - og jeg kommer der gerne igen! Til Eric og Hanne - hvis I ser dette… tak for nogle dejlige dage! Det var herligt at møde jer - og tak for de gode råd om spisesteder (selvom vi stadig har en pizza i Helligpeder til gode) 😊

Modernt och fräscht. Strandnära.

Mycket trevligt. Fräscht och modernt i toppskick. Ostört och privat. Ett sovrum, kök och vardagsrum i ett, stort fint badrum, egen uteplats med grill. Badmöjlighet. Bara 50 meter till stranden som var väldigt vacker med få gäster eftersom det inte finns någon allmän parkering i närheten. Helt perfekt. Rekommenderas.
