Giotto Hotel & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"nice view of the valley and walkable to St. Francis of Assisi and St. Acunis. If you're driving, make sure to make a reservation way ahead at the hotel before arriving. Parking is limited and streets quite narrow."
"Amazing property, the owners beyond helpful and tried to make our stay perfect. Loved our room and breakfast. Located in a very convenient part of the city. Thank-you so much for a fabulous stay."
"The hotel reception was excellent. She made us feel so comfortable and even showed us to our room and went through a map of Assisi. Its rare nowadays to get such friendly service."
"Very pleasant stay, location. Room with tv and fridge. Two free complimentary 1/2 litre water bottle.
Staff extremely helpful.
This is my second stay here."
"My wife and I spent two delightful evenings at Portica Homes Assisi in mid-June. Our hosts Pierre Luigi and Verica facilitated our arrival and, since we were on the top floor, (no lift), Pierre Luigi carried our luggage to our rooms, which we appreciated. Everything in the bedroom and bathroom were brand new. Our room was clean, well appointed and with amenities that we appreciated. Importantly, given the heat we left in Rome (and would find in Venice), the air conditioning was perfect. I should also mention that the bed was very comfortable.
Pierre Luigi was a perfect host; he could not have been more helpful and friendly. He provided recommendations on restaurants within easy walking distance from the Portica Homes. Each was excellent! He also offered advice on using the Assisi bus service and, on our departure, scheduled our taxi for our drive to the train station.
We hope to return to Assisi in the next few years. When we do, we will return to Portica Homes."
"Breakfast was excellent. The staff was very helpful in arranging for a taxi and also accommodated our request to safekeep our luggage on checkout day while we went to attend mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi"
