We loved our quiet little stay! Thank you for allowing us to use your home! Make sure to bring your own towels! We had to go buy some to shower with! Kitchen was fully stocked, bed was very comfortable! Overall very pleased!
Awesome sunsets. House is well equipped. Great kitchen and excellent Internet connection. Very comfortable beds. We loved the pier for fishing. Neighbors were very friendly to us. Thank You to our hosts 😎
Me and my friends from college rented this place for our annual guys trip. We fished, drank beer, grilled meats, and played cards for three straight days. The Nest was perfect for us. Although the pics on VRBO make it appear small, it is very spacious inside. Plenty of room for us to sleep and shower. Plenty of kitchen space. Great water access, shaded areas. For us, everything was very clean. Will book again next year more than likely.
Cozy cabin with tons of living/entertainment space (both inside and outdoors). Super private and quiet —great for a getaway! Conveniently located close to Rogersville and a short drive from Florence or Athens. If you are looking for a place in the area, definitely “perch” at the bird’s nest!
The Bird's Nest was exactly what we needed for our weekend getaway. It strikes a great balance, offering simplicity in its charm while still providing all the necessities for a comfortable and fun stay. We never felt like we were missing anything. Perfect for unplugging and enjoying the water! We hope to stay again.
We enjoyed this quaint 1950’s cabin on the Tennessee River. It was quiet and restful for all four of us. I sat outside by the river front every morning with my coffee. The bird sounds are wonderful! We had everything we needed and great hosts. We’ll be back!

Pics very misleading! Property clean but in poor shape. Driveway washed out. Difficult getting in and out. Only stayed one night and called it. Lost money on the deal!!
Cabin in itself was acceptable. A few things NEED to be mentioned in the description. The driveway isn't in very good condition. Very sharp turn is required when pulling a BOAT with you and once you are in there it is a challenge to turn around. Pulling the boat required me to put my truck in 4 wheel drive. The dock has a big hole in the center and feels a tad shacky. when walking on it. Hope that helps. Thanks
We rent a house on the river every year. We always bring our ski boat and our son in law brings his bass boat. This house was amazing! It’s located on the Tennessee River but they call this area Wheeler Lake. The dock is nice and had boat buoys to help us tie boat off. The house itself is older but great. It’s full of charm. Very open living room area which we loved. Kitchen had everything you may need & more. Two charcoal grills onsite. They do have towels; they are located under the tv. The back yard is beautiful leading to the river. Beautiful pine trees, quit area, nice neighbors. They have a tankless gas water heater which comes in handle when traveling with multiple people. We loved our stay so much I plan to book it again for next year during the 4th of July. Beds were great, loveseat pulls out to a bed and large couch. If you are looking for a house for you family this is it!! Also, the driveway is nice and has plenty of room for boats, jet skis, etc.
The location is superb. The rental cost is too high for the house current condition. The house was dirty and needs a plethora of updates. I paid for three nights; I stayed only two. I will not rent this property again.
We had a lovely time at the Brid's Nest! Great little house on a great spot on the Tennessee River. We enjoyed the dock the most and spent most of our time fishing.
The house was very clean but there was no outside seating or grill of any worth With just a few more extras this would be a first rate rental. Entering the drive is fine for a four wheel drive. When you cut corners here and there it really adds up
We were at the Bird's Nest for three nights. Had everything we needed. The dock is awesome and we enjoyed several fantastic sunsets (and sunrises). Great grocery store in town. Lots of things to do in the area.
I took my daughter and grandkids .They love to fish and was a great fishing spot. We ate out and loved Fat Cats great food. Need lights out back so dark . I will say give this place a try think you'll like it.
The property owners are very very nice and would answer back immediately with any questions I had regarding our stay. The place needed to be very cleaned, especially during times now with covid going on. All of the dishes were dirty with old food on them, the carpet was extremely dirty and the fridge has mold on it. Other than the cleanliness this is a great place to stay! The beds were comfortable! Very spacious and cute cabin home to be with family.
