We rented the cottage for the week. With family living in the area, we just needed extra space to sleep! We were delighted at the atmosphere, proximity to beach, and quietness of the location. Definitely recommend!
We took a few days away to do day hikes in the area and this cottage was the perfect home base for the two of us! So cute, really well located, and very comfortable!Totally going to stay here again!
This cabin was perfect for a long weekend up north. The beach was just steps away, and the property is located close to several nice hiking trails. The property owner was responsive when we had questions.
The cabin was great. Excellent toilet paper (a good guage of how much they love us) and they do not water down the soaps. The cabin is down a hill from the parking area and inside there are a lot of step up and step downs going to different rooms . We only tripped a few times before we got used to it. Everything else was great. Very comfy.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked. It has a very nice large kitchen table to play games at. The blinds in the cabin are easy to operate and block out the light nicely. There are adirondack chairs to sit on the front deck. It is in a very quiet neighborhood with very little trafffic on the main road. The location to the beach is awesome. Just a few steps down the road and then on to a well groomed wide path to the beautiful beach. They have a wagon to use to bring your gear to the beach. They do not have any folding beach chairs so bring those if you want chairs at the beach. The location to Highway 23 is super close, making it easy to travel to the lighthouse, other beaches, restaurants and other towns. A few minor things that would make the stay a little nicer is a cookie sheet and although we had plenty of bath towels, we only had one hand towel. We very much enjoyed out time at the Enchanted Lake Huron cottage
The “Cottage Near Cedar Beach” was wonderful. Colleen was a great host. She stocked the house with all the basics you could need to get started. Each room was very clean, crisp and beautifully appointed. We stayed there for a family event in June, so we didn’t have a whole lot of time to enjoy the entire property. But the yard had plenty of shady spots all around the house, so you could comfortably sit outside any time of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits playing and the birds singing. The cottage is a short walk to Cedar Beach which afforded beautiful views of the harbor along the way. We would absolutely recommend this property!

Not good- Go to Mackinaw City instead
On our way, we had two different addresses. We guessed which one it was by the description. When we arrived, I typed in the code to the door and it wasn’t correct. Since there was no photo of the outside of the house we didn’t know if we were at the right place. It turns out we weren’t. When I texted the owner to get the actual address, she said at first she wasn’t sure and would have to find it. We began going to the other address listed, that wasn’t it either, it was just down the road from the first address. When we finally got there, it was 93 outside. There is no A/C, all the windows were closed, and it was almost 90 inside the cabin and there was only one fan. There were ants absolutely everywhere in the cabin. We cleaned the kitchen constantly and as soon as we cooked something, but there were so many we couldn’t even cook without them crawling all over the counter. There were 5 of us staying for 5 nights, with no washer and dryer, and there were only 5 bath towels. I have a skin condition where I cannot use dirty towels so we had to go buy our own bath towels and go to the laundromat. I’m running out of space so I’ll shorten the rest:Uncomfortable beds. Comforters feel like paper. Mousetraps everywhere. Very few outlets, lots of cheap extension cords (fire hazards). Flies are HORRIBLE outside and at the beach, locals say it’s normal. They’re huge and bite. There’s nothing to do closeby. Everything in Roger’s City is closed. The price was good, but not worth it.
