About this property

No Host Fees! Lovely, well equipped, dog friendly home, 3 blocks from the beach!

  • Our 2 bathroom 2 bedroom, alone with two couches that pull out to queen beds, is perfect for your next getaway. Solo trips or groups up to 8 this home has everything you'll need. A quick 3 min walk to the beach, a well equipped kitchen, fenced backyard, and much more.

    At the end of the block there is a coffee cart with a large assortment of beverages and right next to them is a food cart with amazing hotdogs!!! Both are a must when staying at The Beacon.

    The heart of town is just a short walk up the road but you can usually find a parking place if you choose to drive. There are train rides, wonderful candy shops and of course cute little shops up and down the main strip.

    When you're done for the day you can head on back to the house and enjoy a lovely mountain view from the back deck!

We had a great stay! It is exactly three short blocks to the beach and that was amazing! Very convenient location to the rest of town too. We were able to bring our dog and he loved being with us at the house. The only two things that would have made it a little bit better is being able to stream from our devices to the TV (we like to watch a family movie together when we are on Vacation) but there were a ton of DVDs which was good (retro) and the other improvement would be a working and maintained grill. Unfortunately the grill was un-usable. Thanks for a great stay!

We enjoyed our stay, great location, 2 minutes to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the well-stocked kitchen with new appliances and a really nice coffee maker. The house has a nice layout with high ceilings, open living room/dining area. Everything was clean and fresh.

Fam weekend getaway

My husband, two small kids, and I had the best time at Katie’s place. We loved the living room, especially the cozy oversized armchair. The beds were comfy and the place was even decorated for the holidays! We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic!

The location is perfect, the house is cute, fun, clean and filled with anything you could need! There's a large kennel, food water bowls, even leashes. If you forgot something it is very likely already here! We really hate to leave are already looking forward to coming back. Very quiet neighborhood and hummingbirds to watch.

After Christmas De-stress

We super enjoyed our 3 overnight stay. Started off with straightforward house instructions, the house had everything we needed including really nice extras for our dog! The yard was wonderful, there were towels, treats, baggies, dishes, & even a XLarge crate upstairs! The extra touches didnt stop there. We loved the Christmas decor, the comfy beds, clean bathrooms (w/ all the necessities incase you forgot yours), and overall a really clean & quiet house. Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much guys for providing such a beautiful peaceful place. Happy holidays everyone!

Epic spur of the moment vacation

This is absolutely the ideal home for a family stay. A great dining table for meals, and a well stocked kitchen. Roomy living area with games and such in case of a ( very likely) rainy day. Even our pup was stoked! A nifty little pet area with bowls , toys and even spare poo bags in case you forget ! Everything was so clean and prepped for anything you need. The yard was fantastic with a firepit a BBq area and a large deck. I could say so much more! I was pleasantly surprised in the quick response from owners and everything was communicated so well as we had made this plan last minute ! Rockaway is a neat, small town and we enjoyed the shops, candy store and very near beach access.

Dog lovers paradise

Overall, we had a wonderful stay! Fully equipped with everything we could have possibly needed for our pups! Especially loved the fully fenced in yard and dog toy basket! Very well stocked with kid games, toys, and movies. The XL kennel upstairs was perfect for our large lab. All the towels we could find were stained and crusty feeling. Would definitely recommend replacing them with a fresh set! Many dishes we pulled out of the cabinets were dirty with crusty food. We ended up having to wash everything before we used it. The silverware organizer was really dirty and even had dog food in it. We found long dark hairs stuck in the sheets of both beds. They appeared clean and were probably trapped there in the laundry process. We didn’t love that the living room tv had no streaming options, only cable and dvds. Aside from the cleanliness issues, we had a great stay! Would definitely stay here again, just hope they up their cleaning game with the kitchen and towels.

We loved the board games and that every one of us could sit at the table together. The kitchen set up and space was AMAZING. We made a few dishes and had everything within arms reach.
