Easy check in. Host was prompt and efficient in communicating. Clean and quiet. Good restaurants within a 20 minute drive in addition to the one in walking distance. Indoor pool and hot tub well maintained. Outdoor pool was not open yet but was being prepared for summer opening. Internet and tv worked great. Beautiful surroundings and well maintained property. Smith Mountain Lake State zpatj about a 35 minute drive with hiking trails.

Another Great Vacation!

This was our second time renting this condo at Bernard’s Landing. We had such a great time last summer, we decided to add three more nights to our stay this summer. The location, views, and access to the lake and amenities can’t be beat. Plus, John and Deb are so accommodating and responsive…they always respond right away to any questions. We will definitely be back again!

Great spot overlooking the lake

The communication with the owners, the location overlooking smith mountain lake, the restaurant recommendations and everything was very good. Small issue with WiFi not working the first few hours, but the owners replied and helped resolve that quickly, so it wasn’t a big deal. Overall would highly recommend. Thanks!

Time spent there was wonderful, however the ceiling in the apt we stayed is very thin. Upstairs neighbors were very noisy and had a dog they liked to play with at 1am. Not ideal for those who like to sleep during that time. Too noisy for a quiet place.

I wish I lived closer! Was in area for a wedding, so unfortunately, did not have nearly enough free time to truly celebrate being in the lovely condo (clean, well-kept, kitchen well stocked, kayak, tubes, gorgeous location and great service - emails were always responded to quickly.) Bernards Landing Resort property is also lovely. Small beach - but large enough and never overcrowded and beautiful lake, bikes to rent nearby, quick convenience store - General Dollar - about 5 minutes away with everything you need and large supermarket about 15 minutes away. Again, owners were terrific! I had a "little" snafu at end of our stay and John could not have been more lovely or thoughtful. Hoping my son ends up at college in the area, as we'd love to stay there again!

We stayed here for a wedding and the condo did it's job. My only complaint is that the pull out couch bed, (which is advertised as a sleeping place/bed on the listing), was disgusting. I don't think it had been cleaned in some time. there was wadded up sheets and blankets folded up inside that were extremely dirty. Also, the extra pillows and blankets in the closet were dirty and smelled musty and were lacking pillow cases. The bed in the master bedroom is warped and squishes to the middle so it does make it uncomfortable for more then one person. The views were great and we enjoyed being able to walk out the sliding door to the yard where the wedding was. Other then those things the condo worked out!
