"The room needed some upgrades. The carpet appeared to have burns in it, some of the fixtures weren't in the best condition (ex: AC wasn't functioning correctly), and the light switch in the bathroom was cracked open. Some of these are minor fixes that would go a long way to improve the feel of the stay. Staff was nice at check-in, but the people staying there the night we did left a lot to be desired. A lot of folks in and out late into the night, being loud abd disruptive, and it smelled as if someone was smoking in a neighboring room- I woke up feeling like I smoked a pack of cigarettes. Not totally the property's fault, but pushing tenant etiquette would go a long way. I stayed here due to the higher rating on this site, but I was completely underwhelmed."

"The staff deliberately assigned me a room, even though they already knew that the shower and toilet were out of order—specifically because the main water valve was shut off. The faucet in the shower room didn't have a handle at all. The microwave was dirty, and some small, stone-like particles—possibly limescale—came out of the coffee machine."

The hotel is right in the heart of the commercial area, the campbell street.There are plenty of food joints . thai , indian, Cuban, Southern food as well as regular American Diners. walking distance from the Museum as well as the hotel and convention center. 10 min by car from the Roanoke Star and 28 min from the famous McAfee Knob Trail head. A good quality Hotel to stay in "

"The front desk was amazing. The day we were leaving we still had 2 hours until check out and my husband was taking things to the car while I was still getting ready for the day and housekeeping asked him as soon as he stepped out of the room if we were checking out yet. "
