Welcome to this cabin in the municipality of Åfjord and the hamlet of Kiran at the other end of Fosen.
This beautiful cottage offers you and your family the ideal place to enjoy your vacation by the European North Sea. The cottage is sheltered, but with views of the fjord from several sides. The cozy house lets you fully enjoy your family time playing and cooking together. From the living room you can look directly at the fjord.
Kiran is one of the small villages in the old municipality of Roan and open to the sea. To the east the bay is protected by large mountains. Kiran is a good starting point for fjord fishing and there are possibilities to rent a boat nearby. You will also find several salmon-bearing rivers in the area for those who want to try this. Remember to check the local regulations beforehand. In the fjord you can also find deposits of scallops.
Other interesting places nearby may include these: Utro is also home to Roan bygdatun. It consists of an authentic coastal farm where housing and boathouse are combined in one building, as was the case in several places along the coast. There are also our own boathouses with vintage boats. A trip along the Utrostien offers you many great experiences.
A little further north, on Eian, is the Slumperova sea geyser, first described in 1664/65 by the Italian Francesco Negri. It can be seen on days with fresh winds from the northwest. The geyser can be up to 20 meters high.
In addition, there are many hiking opportunities in the area, here you can find many mountain hikes that provide great experiences, you can also choose hiking trails along the shore or car trips in a fantastic landscape.
