I didn’t want to leave!! This was the perfect cabin. Everything was very clean and well stocked. The owner was very quick to reply to any questions I had. I hope I can return soon and stay longer!!
Not sure about anyone else, but the most important thing about where I stay is how clean it is. Cabin was super clean. Any questions we had were quickly answered by the owner.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the tiny fishing cabin! The lake is peaceful and I loved being able to watch/help my children fish throughout the day right from our front porch. The cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed to cook at home. The porches are great, and the chairs were lovely for sitting on the deck. We ate every meal at the picnic table - what a view! The bunk beds were comfortable. We were easily able to launch our kayaks from the grass and explored the lake even more. This place is a gem!
The cottage was in a wonderful quiet location. Just enough space for everyone to relax. I think the wax seal on the toilet (flange) has given way or cracked. When we arrived the smell of septic was quite strong coming from the restroom. We kept the door closed as much as possible which helped. Also, the shower door was off the hinge so it wouldn’t stay closed while showering. Easy fix was to hold it with a toe while showering ;) Although the bunks were rickety once in them they were quite comfortable. The overall interior of the cabin was cleanly kept and cozy.
The property was amazing, check in was easy, fully functional kitchen and WiFi access. The property was easy to find but located away from busy roads and was very relaxing and peaceful.
Property was really nice. We enjoyed every minute. There are a few boards coming up to the lower deck that are sticking up that might need to be addressed. Home was very nice and clean.
Very tranquil, peaceful setting. Cabin is comfortable and met all our needs. There are lots of waterfalls and hikes within 30 to 40 minutes of Rising Fawn, so we were occupied every day. This is our second trip to this reserve, as it is a great place to relax. Lots of wildlife too.
The cabin was better than pictures. The lake was peaceful with just a few quiet fishermen. The small birds are beautiful to listen to. Kitchen had everything we needed and appreciated the choice of coffee makers. Just a few suggestions that would enhance the stay: Post check-out instructions on web so we properly leave cabin in order, replace microfiber sheets with upgraded quality sheets (note: bath towels were a nice cotton terrycloth), we wanted to open windows to get the fresh air but they were not opening) This place is scenic and cozy and is an excellent choice for fishing, kayak/canoe folks. Owner was responsive and we would stay again.
We came for a family graduation at the local lineman school and found a quiet remote cabin on a small private lake. It was smallBut just right for us. Every amenity you could ask for. The owner was amazing. Answered every question we had within minutes. Pickedthe place because of the price and locality. Loved it. Would like to come back again and just spend our days sitting on the deck and fishing. We had pets and it was a perfect place for them and us.Absolutely recommend this place and its owner.

Lived the tiny house, deck, and bunk beds. Neighbors were friendly and lake/view was beautiful. Found the AC to be a but noisy (window unit) so a sound machine might be needed for some. Found everything we needed to cook with in the kitchen. No washer or dryer. GPS navigation worked best for us. If you follow the written directions from the host, make note the rodeo is for sale and has no sign. Roads to the house have many potholes, but its fine if you take it slow. If we return to the area, would definitely stay again.
Cabin was clean and well appointed. Road into location a bit bumpy with potholes but host gave excellent directions that helped finding. I think it may be more difficult to navigate route in the dark so recommend arriving during daylight. Area around fishing village was peaceful and tranquil and great for walks, sitting on the deck watching the lake and local wildlife, and it was a treat eating dinner by the beautiful view of Johnson Lake. Moonlight on the lake was especially gorgeous. Please note stairs to second floor are at a sharp angle so if mobility is an issue please keed in mind when booking but there is a sofa bed on main level. There is no washer, dryer, nor dishwasher but this was not problematic. Linens and towels provided were of good quality. Was especially surprised and pleased to be able to bring my cat and the area afforded a lot of options for walks for the both of us. Host is amenable, gracious and very communicative. I would definitely stay again.

This was a very pretty cabin a short drive from Chattanooga. It was clean and comfortable, but it was lacking in a few areas. Described as a fishing cabin, there was not one fishing pole available for us to use. Also, there was no sugar or sugar replacement available, making our morning coffee less than ideal. The major thing though was that the grill was broken. We were looking forward to grilling out over the weekend but the hose that connected the gas tank to the grill had a noticeable leak. It was literally hissing out, making it dangerous to grill. Other than this, we were quite comfortable. The place was clean and well taken care of. The owner left his kayak there for us to use, which was relaxing and fun. A TV in the bedroom would’ve been nice, but we opted to sleep on the comfortable pull out in the living area. We definitely recommend this cabin for a cozy, peaceful getaway. Great find!
This cabin was conveniently located as I live nearby and just needed a quiet place for a few days to relax and recharge from my everyday busy working mom life. The cabin is clean, organized, safe and in a beautiful location, especially in Autumn! The leaves!! The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cookware, glassware and utensils. There is a full size fridge and a full size stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker and a Keurig! The TV was centrally located in the cabin and could be watched from the covered porch too! The furnishings were tasteful and comfortable with plenty of seating. Although I didn’t stay upstairs in the bunk room, the space was clean and the bunks were newer and had nice linens with its own cooling/heating unit and a ceiling fan. The bathroom is clean and up to date with a lovely shower head and great water pressure! And you get nice HOT showers! The bath towels were newer and nice and soft. The views from the back deck/porch areas (yes, two areas) were awesome! The lake was rippling from a soft breeze most of the day and placid near the evening. Perfect for enjoying some reading time while listening to birdsong above—very relaxing! I did not fish, but I could hear them breaking the surface once in a while so they are out there to be caught! I would recommend this property to anyone wanting a picturesque, relaxing place to stay alone or with a few friends! I plan to be back in the very near future! Thanks, Steve! Great job!
This cabin was so great! We came to spend a small Thanksgiving. Had a wonderful time. There was everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and utensils. The fishing was fantastic. Caught two giant catfish. This is just a beautiful place for any time of the year. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
We were able to enjoy this cozy home. A getaway was much needed from Work, husband is a Pastor, granddaughter in college (break). So, yes this was very relaxing, very peaceful & honestly none of us wanted to leave. Thank you for a great place to relax. God bless.
I booked this cabin for our visit to Chattanooga. The cabin was perfect for our family of four. Small but just enough space for what we needed. I really liked the back porch with a deck. It was a nice spot to come back to and relax in the evening to enjoy the lovely view of the lake.
