Employees at desk and restaurant were friendly & helpful. Room was spacious and had a small balcony with a view of the harbor. Bed was pretty new but hard. Pool was cool ... but not cold, and the poolside furniture was serviceable. Breakfast included with hotel stay was more than decent: fresh fruits, coffee, eggs. Beer & wine selection could be better. Rio Lagartos is not a sophisticated town, so don't plan on fancy fancy, but it's a good place to relax and to go on a nature tour (flamingos, pelicans, frigates, crocodiles, mangrove, etc). Just about every restaurant in town advertises tourist information; after a bit, you learn to tell them you want less, not more, information. Price for the room, esp as it included food, was very good, and the staff would make up your room every day if you wanted it done.
