One night stopover

I had read some reviews that the hotel was old & very dated. It is, but this added to the experience it was like going back 40 years to an old soviet style hotel. They should use this as a selling point!!! Breakfast buffet was great, lots of choice. Staff were friendly enough.

It is decent hotel. Looks outdated but has the essentials. We stayed just over night, were caught in torential rain, ans was the closest to where we were. No complains. Parking is included, and was full, but he accomodated us to park.

If you missed out on the Communist era, the Hotel Neboder is running a neat simulation, note-perfect in several aspects: the menacing front-desk staff, outdated and broken furniture, carpets that needed replacing 20 years ago, and, of course, the truly scary mid-70’s elevator. Extra touches include an air conditioner pegged at 24 C, and room curtains that don’t fit the windows, but none of it would really work without the general atmosphere of hopelessness that is their real masterstroke. Just kidding, comrade, it’s not the real thing, it’s a show for your enjoyment; you can tell because the AC does eventually cool the room, the beds are comfortable, hot water is available, breakfast is mostly edible, and the view from our room on the 11th floor was terrific. It’s a solid 2-star hotel with a 3-star price tag, enjoy it.

Douche werkte niet, volgende kamer airco niet en maar gedeeltelijk gordijnen. 3e kamer maar geaccepteerd, terwijl maar enkele lampen branden en airco beperkt werkte. Is echt GEEN 3 sterren waard!!! Wel snel internet en overdekte parkeergarage. Ik zou dit hotel niet meer aanbieden.

A éviter si possible. Chauffage ne fonctionnant que par intermittence, aucune isolation avec le vent soufflant par les fenêtres et la porte. Petit déjeuner exécrable et impossible avoir un café pour un départ vers 6h 30 du matin. Responsable à l'accueil aimable comme une porte de prison. Le seul point positif est la vue sur la ville depuis le 12e étage. Prix excessif pour cet hôtel.

El hotel esta fatal, muy viejo, la mampara del baño estaba rota. Muy caro para lo que es. No pagaria mas de 20€ por un hotel asi.

Rapporto qualità/prezzo. Camera con moquette sporca e maleodorante, senza frigo bar, bagno senza necessaire soltanto con carta igienica, balcone con ringhiera sporca. Da salvare solo la colazione buona e varia. Non consigliabile.

Die Bettwäsche war nicht sauber. Sie sah so aus ob bereits schon jemand darin geschlafen hatte. Die Wände waren nicht sauber, zum Teil gab es auch Blutflecken an den Wänden. Uns war die Unterkunft nicht wohl, so dass wir um Mitternacht am 0.00 Uhr bereits ausgecheckt haben. Schade für das Geld welche ich für die Unterkunft gegeben habe.

Nel complesso buono per toccata e fuga

L’hotel è in posizione strategica, pochi passi e si è in centro, purtroppo le camere necessiterebbero una profonda ristrutturazione, così come gli ascensori, a volte litigano da soli sul piano, sopra le aspettative la colazione, dolce e salato con una maggiore predilezione per il salato, ma varia e di buona qualità.

Socialist experience :-)

I visited on a research trip related to the specific building - the exploration of former Yugoslavia hospitality architecture, for which this building is a great case study. Despite its renovation in 2007, it seems to be frozen in time somewhere before the Yugoslavian war, which is exactly what describes the level of comfort in the hotel. Doable but defiantly sub standard. Also, from an architectural standpoint, the hotel becomes a dead trap in case of a fire - the open staircase that connects all floors is also the fire escape route - if there is a fire on the lower floors, occupants on the upper floors will be trapped and are exposed to the fumes. So, if you want to feel the 1960 in a former socialist country, this is your place.

Der Standort und Ausblick mit Balkon ist toll, Service und Frühstück sehr gut, Zimmer und Bad sauber, Bett in Ordnung, doch der Teppich im Zimmer müsste schon längst erneuert werden.

The employees are very nice and the free breakfast is excellent and extensive. My only complaint is the hotel smells like smoke and our nonsmoking room smelled terrible. I complained and they said the couldn't do anything about it.
