"Besides this hotel being the only affordable hotel at the time.. I personally wouldn’t stay here again (PLEASE SEE PICTURES!) First staff, not welcoming/don’t great you. Kind of just stares even when u speak. Weird vibe Hotel room. Filthy. We had blood stains on BOTH of our bed covers. When asked for new blankets front desk gave us a little hard time. Tried to give us some curtain feel blankets and we were like how would this be even remotely comfortable. Finally got a blanket and it was so small and thin. Oh yes, ONE BLANKET FOR A 2 BED ROOM. Headboards of the beds were filthy. Bathroom light did not work. AC did not work. Once you took a shower the whole room get so muggy, sticky and hot. NO VENTILATION. Speaking of shower. DISGUSTING. The shower it self had grim stuck to the walls. The picture of the towels are from wiping shower walls. We had to bleach down the bathroom like crazy. All surfaces was dusty and nasty."

"I asked to have regular coffee pods for my room as there was only decaf pods in my room. I was told by the front desk that the hotel had no caffeinated coffee for the hotel rooms, only decaf. I was invited to come to the hotel dining area in the morning for caffeinated coffee. Also, when I ordered an adult beverage, with lime, I was informed the hotel had no limes available. There was a photocopy of a small menu available yet the "cook was off," so it was suggested I order food to be delivered. I was traveling on business and needed an internet connection to complete my work. The internet connection in my room worked for the first night of my stay. The front desk staff apologized yet stated they were not aware of an internet issue. The room itself was acceptable. As a recognized name in the hotel industry, I expected the important details, as promoted on the hotel website, to be available."

"I was very disappointed. We had made the reservation back in April for a king-size bed. When we arrived, we had no option but two queens. The bathroom door would not work at all. It was jammed. This is not what I had expected based on the reviews. If you make reservation two months ahead of time to give away, someone’s room is completely unacceptable."

The Longleaf Hotel

"We recently stayed at the Longleaf Hotel and overall had a great experience. The property is very well maintained and beautifully updated while still paying homage to the hotel's original 1950s character and charm. The rooms and common areas felt thoughtfully designed, clean, and inviting. My only real complaint was the check-in experience. The receptionist seemed overwhelmed when we arrived and came across as somewhat snippy and unpleasant. We arrived about 20 minutes before the official check-in time, and although our rooms were already ready, we were told there would be a $25 fee to check in early. Rather than pay the fee, we went out for coffee and returned at 3:00 PM. Guests should also be aware that there is a $25 per night parking fee, despite parking being in the hotel's own lot. Aside from those issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the unique blend of modern comfort and vintage charm that makes the Longleaf stand out."
