You can also gather in close with cozy couches in the living room or by the hearth of the fire, inside or out. The fenced in yard provides lots of green space to play fetch, throw a frisbee or relax and share the highlights of the day.
Otsego Lake will welcome you as you drive lakeside to reach 517 Allen Lake Road, County Highway 27. Stone House Acres is exactly 2 miles up Allen Lake Road. The house is situated on over 11 lovely acres. The landscape is partly wooded on one side of the road, and a lovely meadow with a pond round out the property across the street. Meadow Links Golf Course, located next door, is a wonderfully groomed Par 3 course. Plan to make time to walk over for some family fun on the links. If soaking in nature is on your list, there's plenty of opportunity for outdoor recreation at Glimmerglass State park, boat rentals on Otsego Lake and numerous local hiking and bike trails.

Could not have had a more peaceful and gorgeous stay. Unbelievably clean, well stocked, comfy bed, good pillows, delightful hostess, friendly farm animals, lovely walks. Absolutely perfect. Many thanks
The property was set in the hills and farms of Richfield. The antique home was clean, well, maintained, and offered all of the comforts of home.
The host was responsive both prior to, and during, our stay.
We would definitely recommend this property whether you are visiting f the Hall of Fame, enjoying lake activities, or in town for baseball.
We were in Cooperstown for a tournament at Dreams Park. This country home was beautiful, comfortable, quiet and well-maintained with classic antiques and all needed amenities. Being able to feed and pet farm animals was a treat for all. The drive in to town was scenic and the host was friendly and very helpful, even providing eggs a couple mornings from the free-range chickens. A most enjoyable stay for a family from a big city.
Hands down this was the property our daughter and family HAD to experience based on the special co-habitants of the estate! Our weeklong visit exceeded everyone’s expectations! The stunning beauty and warmth of this “soon to be” 200 year old home was magnified by the owners, Renee’ and Nat! They are absolutely wonderful hosts and stewards of their menagerie of “pets” on their beautiful property! Our grandchildren quickly adopted this home and all of the residents and Renee’ and Nat graciously provided opportunities for interaction!
Our heartfelt gratitude to our hosts for a week we will always cherish!
We had a fabulous 10 day stay at Renee and Nate’s beautiful home. The house itself was spacious, comfortable and clean, as well as beautifully decorated. It was only 5 minutes to Glimmerglass Opera Festival where my son was performing so it was ideal, and it’s also a short drive into the fun little town. The golf course right across the street was nice for a relaxed golf game. Our children and grandchildren were in love with the horses and pigs, and got to watch them being fed in the morning. The two dogs and cats were also feeling like members of the family by the time we left! Most importantly, Renee and Nate couldn’t have been more welcoming, kind and helpful. Highly recommend a stay here.

My family loved the home and the surroundings. We were able to rest and relax prior to and after my brother's nine-hour celebration of life. I would recommend the hosts and the home to any family wanting to be together in a beautiful place. The house was clean, well-maintained and the hosts friendly and accommodating. Since we traveled all the way from Maine, it was a relief that our visit went so smoothly.
Home was spacious & clean with plenty of room to accommodate 8 adults and 2 children. The fenced in yard , dining room seating and large kitchen were a big plus for us. Great access to lake, golf courses and restaurants. The owners were very nice and attentive to any need. We would definitely return.
Renee and Nate’s property was beautiful and very well suited for our family of six adults and one 2 year old. The large, well-equipped kitchen and living area gave us plenty of room to gather together for dining, games and just hanging out. The outdoor property was very welcoming with beautiful flower gardens and lots of animals! Our grandson ( and the adults) loved visiting the dog, cats, chickens, goats, pigs and horses! Renee and Nate were very welcoming, gracious hosts and having them on property was a pleasure. Reasonable distance to Cooperstown and the lake. Definitely recommend!
We were greeted with a smile upon our arrival. The host gave us a tour of the amazing house and I could always text her if we needed anything! It was a great stay especially with the beautiful setting. Our boys played at Cooperstown so it was not far and a great house for the boys the few nights they stayed with us. More room than we could of asked for. Highly recommend!!
We had a great weekend in Cooperstown. Our host was very welcoming and easily accommodated our large group. There is a big outdoor space where our boys could play.
The house is charming. The third floor is its own level where our teenagers were able to relax and enjoy themselves late into the night.
Clean, comfortable, close to the lake and all the attractions Cooperstown has to offer. This place is one of our favorite houses we have visited.
This is a one of a kind experience and for those participating in the dreamspark baseball tournament in Cooperstown, this is a great place to stay. The home itself is very historic but it is updated and as comfortable as can be. The family that owns the property is great and there if you need them. There is a golf course across the street… it is a very challenging and interesting par 58 and very reasonable price wise… you will love the house and we spent the evenings or mornings (depending on baseball schedule) hanging out in the perfectly manicured backyard.
We had an excellent stay at Renee and Nate's. Nice property with many of spaces to relax. Highly recommend if you are at Dreams Village or have activities in Cooperstown. Our baseball tournament were at Cooperstown All Star Village (in Oneonta) which was a bit farther than we had anticipated, so we had a lot of time in the car and not on the property, which was my mistake. Beds were comfy with nice linens. They had lots of animals which were fun for the kids! Personable, accommodating hosts and nearby as they are in the adjoining house. Thank you again for the hospitality!
We arrived an hour and a half early to simply drop off our luggage. The owner came at me from inside, verbally assaulted me in front of my children and told me I was a bad example for them. We left because they live there and we didn’t feel safe. They would not issue refund.
Nate’s property is a terrific place to stay. Rooms are very comfortable and kitchen is fully equipped. The chickens and farm animals were a delight to our kids and Nate and his family were so kind to show them the animals frequently. Highly recommended
This was the most magical experience. Renee and her family were the most incredible hosts. The house is exquisite with everything one needs and the grounds amazing. We will be returning ASAP.
If you are looking for a getaway with both the quiet of nature and family time; or the opportunity to get on the lake or stroll through town, this space offers it all! A perk is the golf course next door for al the golfers out there! We really enjoyed our time at this stone cottage.
The house and farm are both amazing. Decorating is perfection. My family all loved all of the farm animals and host family's pets as well. I will admit, I wasn't clear that the host family lived on the property so that was a bit of a surprise but they were the most lovely and accommodating, personable, just really genuinely good, kind people. We enjoyed farm fresh eggs a couple of mornings! :) Explored walking the property and hanging out with family we hadn't seen in some time. It can get warm in the bedrooms at night but we left an extra fan to help with the breeze.
The purpose of our trip was to participate in the 12U baseball tournament at Dreamspark - it was an easy 30 minute drive to get there and a picturesque drive.
I highly recommend this spot. It really was perfect. :)
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. An easy drive to and from Dreams Park and downtown Cooperstown. Renee and her family made this such a wonderful trip. Would love to do it all over again.

Quaint, historic home near Cooperstown and Glimmerglass Opera
We rented the home for a reunion in Richfield Springs. There were 9 adults in the house and we were very comfortable. Renee and her family were very accommodating! The house had all the amenities we needed except the internet was not working during our stay and none of us had cell service due to the remote location. This was the one big drawback. It was also a very hot weekend (90+ temps) and the top floor of the house got very hot as it had no A/C. This is unusual for this area however so we understood it was not normal. We would definitely stay here again!
