Very much enjoyed our 3-night stay with my husband and two pups! The cabin was clean, well updated, and included everything we needed. Will definitely stay again and maybe utilize the pontoon next time. Thank you for everything!
Had a great stay at Rice Lake Hideaway. We certainly were glad we rented the pontoon. It made our days on the lake very enjoyable! Host Steve was easy to work with and Diane was awesome, too!
We appreciated the great supply of paper products and toiletries. We didn't do much cooking but the kitchen was well-supplied. Loved the comfy recliners after enjoying the lake all day.
The property was easy to find, easy check in, and more than enough room for our family of 5! The owner and the lovely lady who maintained the property after each stay were great to work with. They responded quickly to any questions we had and made us feel very welcomed! We rented the kayaks, paddle boat, and pontoon from the owner. It was probably the highlight of the trip! The sunsets next to the campfire were the perfect way to end the day. Our children also loved fishing off the dock. We will definitely be back!
We were looking for a place for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary and found the perfect spot, place being able to rent the pontoon was an added bonus. House and property was gorgeous, very happy we found this.
The cutest cabin I have ever stayed in with a fence to keep the geese and poop off the lawn. The little kids had a blast catching fish right off the dock. We had a blast watching them. Of course it helped that we had excellent weather the whole time. Son in law brought a lil iPad mat so we all got to go swimming right off the end of the dock. Great vacation. Next time my daughter told me I need to rent the pontoon.
We can't say enough good things about our entire experience. The cabin is in an amazing location, very quiet and perfectly situated on the shore. The cabin is so cute and comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The fishing was incredible, from the dock and from the lake on our kayaks. Even though it was Memorial Day weekend, the lake was still so chill and not very busy. The cabin has everything for relaxation: the perfect deck to relax on and a very cozy living room (with the best couch) with a great TV. We were truly happy and enjoyed our weekend, and we would love to return!
The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and perfect for a week on the lake. The owner, Steve, answered all our questions promptly! Diane, the "care taker" was awesome! She showed us where we could dock our boat and was helpful when we needed to ask her any questions. We had our own speed boat to water ski and tube which was great, however we did rent the pantoon and kayaks. The pontoon was great for fishing (even though we didn't catch anything) and taking slow cruises around the lake. The swimming wasn't great off the pier/dock due to the weeds, but we took the pontoon out and swam from that - brought floaties, snacks and beverages - it was perfect!
The property is such a sweet cottage on the lake! Bigger inside than it looks on the outside, and so clean and beautiful inside! The kitchen is well laid out, big enough to prepare meals for a whole family. And, a dishwasher in a cabin? BONUS!!
The deck is huge and has such great views of the lake! Morning coffee in the cool breeze and then sunsets at night!
We rented the pontoon for a couple days and that was an excellent choice, just cruising the lake was worth it.
Loved the flat yard leading to the awesome dock. More so even after touring the lake and seeing some of the properties with what looked like hundreds of steps down.
The owner, Steve, was out of town during our stay. But, we had Diane and Denny to help us out ….and they were awesome! They showed us the pontoon, helped pick a pizza place, and helped make sure our dog stayed safe on the deck and that we made sure we were extra comfy inside!
We just got back from a lovely stay at this cabin in Rice Lake. We rented the pontoon for the week and had a blast boating and swimming. Gary was a pleasure to deal with and made us feel so welcome. We had the best vacation and were sad to leave. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin for the week.
Wonderful family vacation spot. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The property was clean and comfortable. We did take advantage of the pontoon rental, and it was definitely worth it! We would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice vacation house on a lake.. and they are pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed it as much as we did!
We truly enjoyed our time at this property. We traveled from Minnesota on motorcycle, 6 people 6 bikes. Nice roads, easy to find, garage for bikes, and close to grocery store. It was a nice little neighborhood, and the house was just comfortable. We had all we needed and our host and hostess were super nice. We could not have asked for more...and the lake view is amazing. Sunsets were breathtaking and we loved listening to the loons. Thank you so much for making our trip so enjoyable!!
My husband and I and our 2 children went to Rice Lake for a quick fishing trip. The neighborhood is in a quite secluded area with not a lot of traffic. The house was clean and cozy. The owners were the best. Gary and Sharon were super accommodating to all of our questions and needs during our entire visit. The cabin is close to the water for easy access. The pontoon that we rented from them was exactly what we were looking for. We had so much fun. The scenery from the back deck was very relaxing and enjoyable. Rice Lake is a really neat town and we met a lot of really nice people. We would definitely revisit and recommend.
Everything was perfect. Excellent communication, a clean and well stocked house, multiple decks for relaxing, a nice pontoon boat for enjoying the lake, great fishing and the list goes on as on. We’ll be back!!
