Tolle Lokation an der kalabrischen Küste mit einer herrlichen Aussicht von jedem Punkt auf dem Gelände. Schöner privater Strand mit einem großartigen Weg/Abstieg zum Strand, Der bei 30 Grad aber durchaus schweißtreibend sein kann. Sehr freundliches Personal.

Romantic getaway

We had an amazing time at Bluebay! Clean rooms and facilities, good food, magnificent view of the beach and the sea, the zumba/ pilates classes and Friday night gala dinner are bonus. (PS: we'll book a very special family gathering here next year!)

Traumhotel mit Problemen in der Gastronomie

Das modere Hotel befindet sich in einer traumhaften Lage, etwas erhöht auf den Klippen, mit Blick auf das Meer. Das Personal an der Rezeption und das Reinigungsteam war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Die Gastronomie muss jedoch dringend verbessert werden. Uns wurden pro Person 70 Euro für die Halbpension verrechnet. Das wichtigste Ziel im Hotel ist offenbar, Food Waste zu vermeiden. Die Speisen waren lecker, aber die Schüsseln und Platten blieben immer wieder leer. In den Ferien möchte ich jedoch das Essen vom Buffet entspannt geniessen und nicht jeder Gabel Spaghetti hinterher jagen. Während der Mahlzeiten war man immer wieder überrascht: 20 Minuten nach Beginn des Abendessens war die Suppenschüssel leer und wurde erst viel später wieder aufgefüllt. Beim Frühstück waren die Weintrauben nach kurzer Zeit weg, meist blieb die Platte leer. Oft gab es kein Geschirr mehr, das Besteck fehlte, die Schalen für die Frühstücksflocken waren nicht mehr da ... Die Bedienung im Restaurant war nicht hilfsbereit, die Atmosphäre steril und unfreundlich. Der Kaffee kam aus einem Automaten und war scheusslich. Für den stolzen Betrag von 70 Euro erwarte ich in einem 4 Sterne Betrieb einen andern Service.

Die Preisangabe war nun wirklich absolut übertrieben: reißerisch reduziert, bei mehreren Kleinigkeiten, z.B.Frühstückauswahl und Plastikbecher, überwog aber kein luxuriöser, sondern eher sparsamer Aspekt.

Der Wille ist da, aber ....

Erster Eindruck recht positiv. Zimmer sehr unpersönlich eingerichtet. Alles auf schnelle Reinigung ausgelegt. Auf persönliche Gegenstände, die dabei im Weg liegen wird keine Rücksicht genommen. Obwohl das Hotel noch so neu ist, weißt das Objekt erhebliche Baumängel auf. Das Frühstück war okay. Das Personal im Frühstücksraum jedoch absolut überfordert. Zum Strand fährt ein Shuttlebus, in den 6 Personen passen!!! Irgendwie ging es über den Steilhang aber auch zu Fuß. Alles in allem ist der Preis für dieses Resort absolut überteuert. Und wenn man ohne Pkw vor Ort ist, nicht zu empfehlen. Kalabrien ist wunderschön, die Aussicht vom Hotel entschädigt für die vielen negativen Dinge. Es sind die vielen Kleinigkeiten, die den Aufenthalt abwerten (Fernseher hing schief an der Wand, Badtür ließ sich nicht schließen, kein Schrank im Bungalow für 4 Personen!, Wasser läuft aus der Dusche ins Zimmer...).
