"The good: The lobby and the hotel is actually beautiful. The owner-designer has done a pretty good job there. The OK: 1) No pool 2) Nothing much for kids to do on the property 3) Breakfast for vegetarians is fruits. Upon asking the previous night, the next day they served rice-beans burrito. People, learn to accommodate those who don't want to harm animals. 4) Extremely tiny rooms "

Had a great view from room and able to see lots of different wildlife - recommend watching sunset and night tour - was disappointed had to pay additional $20 to hike trail at the top of the hill. Breakfast buffet was ok - traditional Costa Rica breakfast options. Wish the pool bar was opened longer to have time to swim and relax after done with tourist attractions and supper"

"Perfect place to stay when visiting Monteverde and ideal for our family of 2 adults and 2 children. The Sun House had absolutely everything we needed and more. The views from the deck are spectacular and we particularly enjoyed listening to the large variety of birds around the property. Location is great with many shops and restaurants just a short drive away. Highly recommended! "

"Well where do I start… this place is truly special. The photos on the listing don’t do it justice. It is honestly beautiful. The home is immaculate and clean, and the bed is huge and super comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows give fantastic views into the beautiful green gardens which are manicured to perfection. Oscar who looks after the property is lovely and will make sure you are comfortable during your stay. This place is honestly a hidden gem you must book it if staying in Monteverde. There is even a little trail into the rainforest from the end of the garden. At night you will find frogs in the pond. The property location is just 10-15 minute drive from selvatura park and Santa elena cloud forest. I would recommend a 4x4 or SUV as the last 1km of road is loosely paved. 10/10 I would recommend this stay. "

"Absolutely beautiful home in the hills of Monteverde. Luis was excellent & always was in communication with me. Two beautiful master bedrooms with shades that you can lower as needed, & projector TVs. Infinity pool was awesome! Plenty of wildlife around too including hummingbirds at the purple flowered shrubs. Would be good to have a four wheel vehicle to get to the house. "
