We have provide a walking path that leads right down to the dock for access to swimming, fishing and boat docking. For the protection and privacy (would be tresspassers) there is a security gate with a security camera located in eye's view. This is for your peace mind so no one will disrupt your stay at Wolf Lake Lodge. We also placed 4 other visible exterior cameras, by fire pit, carport, front door and by the dock. This is so the guest's outdoor vechicals and recreational vechicals are protected at all times in the event that a would be trespasser comes uninvited and interupts your much needed vacation. We would like to also inform each and everyone of our guests that there are absolutely no interior cameras located inside the cabin or looking into the cabin. We do have a panic button located in the laundry room of the cabin, linked directly to our monitering team as well as the Michigan state Police. We take great pride in ensuring our guests and their loved ones are protected during your stay.
For your larger motorized water vehicles there is access to the lake at Van Riper State Park, which you passed upon arriving from highway 41. If you love the winter sports there are well maintained trails for snow mobilizers and people who like to quad. Right down the road from us is Van Riper State Park, they offer camping and beach/boat access if you desire it.

It is a beautiful town with small shopping malls, a Walmart, Lowes, Target, several grocery stores, bakeries, farmers market, Walgreens, hotels, fine dining along the water as well as fast food, drinking establishments and a movie theater.
If you like golfing Marquette has three beautiful golf courses. Whatever your pleasure, you will surely find what you need. There is also an International airport and well equipped teaching hospital. If travelling further east you will come to a town called Munising here you can take a tour of the famous Pictured Rocks and there are beautiful.
For the ski lovers we have Marquette Mountain which has 23 different runs and trails from easy to difficult depending on your level. It is about one hour from our home. Marquette also has beautifully groomed snowmobile trails that go for miles. You do not even need to load your snowmobile up on a trailer to reach the trails. Just follow your way up to the State Park at the beginning of Holli Blue Road and the trails begin there. Please go onto Marquette Snowmobile Trails for a full sized map of our trails. We have two sets of snowshoes for your enjoyment to travel through our woods.
Right off our property you can also enjoy ice-fishing. We have bass, walleye, northern pike and many other types of fish right in our own lake. If you love the fall colors, there are many different tours you can take. They have 165 miles of beautiful scenery for you to see.You can also enjoy the fall colors right on the property. We have a variety of animals right on the property. (deer, moose, black bear and other small game) unfortunately there is no hunting on our property at anytime. There is hunting in the surrounding areas.
In the Spring time you can sit back and enjoy everything coming to life once again. For the bird lovers we have a large amount of birds you can watch right on the front porch. We have a bald eagle that makes his home on our 100 year old pine tree.
No matter what time of the year you come, there is something for everyone.

Beautiful house, the pool and hot tub were awesome. Amazing hosts! Highly recommend even with children. I cannot express enough how relaxing and amazing this stay was!
This cabin and grounds are truly beautiful and amazing! The owners were gracious and quick to answer any questions we had.
We planned some ‘cabin only’ days during our trip to MI and I’m so glad we did. We enjoyed our time at this cabin so much! It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind!! A MI paradise!
The dock area is great for boats, OK for swimming (you do also have an indoor pool) as it's fairly shallow around the dock (<4' deep). Two boats could easily dock here.
We came here for mother's day and really enjoyed the cabin. You can see all hard work put into this home, and ot had everything you could possibly need. The views were amazing, and the pool was fun! Owners are easy to communicate with, and a joy to talk to.
I've never stayed in a place with such peace and quite. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Would recommend to anyone who wants a luxurious northwoods cabin experience.
Our stay here was great and the house was beautiful! The pool and hot tub were amazing, especially on rainy days. The house was very well- stocked for towels, soap, paper products, etc. The covered deck and grill were convenient, and the lake access was pretty accessible for kayaks.
My husband, myself and our boys spent 3 nights at this beautiful cabin. We spent the days ice fishing, swimming, relaxing, and more swimming. The cabin provided everything would need from the kitchen, towels and plenty of extra blankets/pillows. Tim and Melanie were alway very quick to respond to any questions we had. We loved everything about our stay and plan to return. were
Great property; cottage is incredibly clean and in a beautiful spot. The kitchen has all things needed to make a meal and the outdoor grill space is perfect. The pool, hot tub and sauna are great after a long day exploring. We wish we would have been able to see a moose. Loved our stay. Thanks!
This is a beautiful and peaceful setting and an amazing cabin. Definitely a remote location, but with an indoor pool, hot tub and sauna there is everything you need to just sit back, relax and recharge and, the dock offers the ability to try your hand at fishing or just enjoy sitting in the sun. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a luxurious cabin experience. Owners were very prompt to respond to any questions we had during our stay. We will definitely return.
All I can say is WOW! This cottage was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful and quiet, just what our little family needed. It was a bit rainy the first day but luckily we had no plans for the day and plenty to do inside. Our 4 year old LOVED the pool room! The covered patio was also nice to be able to still sit outside and enjoy the beautiful fall colors and cool breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely go back again!
Beautiful cabin and beautiful surroundings! Everything we needed to enjoy our stay was there. The pool area was amazing and the overall stay was an at home feeling. Our plans changed a little at the end and we had some family that was staying at Van riper state park come the last day. We decided to renew our wedding vows. We left everything as it was when we arrived! Thank you for sharing your wonderful place. 5 stars from us!
My husband, our 2 children and myself stayed at the property as part of our spring break. This place is awesome! This has got to be the most luxurious cabin we have ever stayed in. The pool/hot tub area was wonderfully maintained and the pool was warm upon our arrival. Plenty of firewood was provided and we used the indoor fireplace daily. Ample cooking supplies were provided, even skewers for smores which I had forgotten. The grounds and lake were expansive and private. Mr. and Mrs. Hockaday were wonderful host, very informative and knowledgeable. We look forward to saying again in the summer.
This property is AMAZING! From start to finish, this was by far the best vacation and best rental we have stayed at. Tim and Melanie are so kind. The house is like a dream come true, from the gate opening, to the parking pad, to the porches, to the dock & lake, to the pool room. Everything is just as listed. Hosts had great communication. It was like living as royalty for a week. My mother wants to buy some of the same decorations, like the lights to the dock and the kitchen lights. We explored the area, UP is just magical. I am so glad we made the drive there, so many treasures, especially this home. We are already planning to return!
This cabin was amazing! First, prompt is an understatement to describe how fast the owners will get back to you if you have any problems, no matter how small and they are extremely thorough in making sure the problem gets solved! The pool and hot tub room were a special extra that we loved using to spend more time as a family just relaxing. We spent a lot of time on the dock enjoying the incredible view and the lake water was warm and a nice depth to be able to enjoy while still being able to touch the bottom. Everything about this cabin was wonderful and relaxing. It is quite a ways from sight seeing, however, I think everything is pretty spread out in the UP so it was not an inconvenience to us at all. We just took our time and enjoyed ourselves. The internet was a little spotty but again, you are in the middle of amazing wilderness and on vacation so it didn't bother us but if you are needing to work or something, it is just something to be aware of. This cabin had everything we needed to be able to relax and recharge! We will definitely be back!
Truly amazing property to make memories with your family
We have stayed quite a few places, but nothing compares to this property. The owners have done an amazing job with little touches that makes your vacation effortlessly easy and relaxing.
We had four adults and a five year old in our party. Again, enough cannot be said about the care in which the owners express through the little touches, but also the welcome phone call to walk through the elements of the property.
The pool, sauna, and hot tub were amazing. The kitchen and outdoor kitchen were my personal favorite. The dock and amount of seating options around the property and inside truly give everyone in your party an opportunity to catch a breathtaking view of the water.
Inside, the decor and facilities were just amazing. The showers were inviting, and our little one loved the whirlpool upstairs.
If you have the opportunity to stay, do it. Bring your family. We have built so many now cherished memories together from our stay.
Special thank you to the owners!!
JGK and family.
Do not hesitate to book! This may be the most special property we have ever stayed in the U.S. The owners have built a secluded oasis that will take your breath away. The attention to detail is second to none, and at every turn, something else just grabs your eye and makes you say well done. The log home is simply beautiful. The amenities are spot on, and virtually nothing forgotten. We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights, and during that time, we never heard a sound of the world. Honestly, not a car, airplane, highway sound, nothing. The only sound we heard was wind, water, rain...and silence. Oh, that sweet sound of silence.
The jacuzzi, sauna and pool were incredible, and is there really anything better than listening to a fire, the only light, that of the dancing flames? Honestly, do not ever hesitate to book with these fine people.
It has been a crazy year, and this was the perfect way to reconnect and rediscover. This was paradise.
I've seen several reviews where people complained about this and that, silly things, like there's a giant cross in the living room. Rest easy, it's not giant, it's the same size most of us grew up with in our homes, and it's actually very nice to see that there are those amongst us still living the way they believe without fear of offending others. Follow their very simple rules, respect their property, take time to clear your mind and just breathe, and you too will fall in love with the world again. Thank you so much T & M!!
This is our second stay and we will definitely be back. The house is stunning and they do a really nice job of keeping the house well stocked with just about anything you’d need.
