Fabulous place!! The people here are so helpful and friendly! Well, it is Sri Lanka after all!! What a gem this hotel is, the spa treatments are fab and even though we didn't pay for meals to be included we have eaten most of our meals here, lovely!! Would definitely stay again. rooms are clean and spacious and the staff will supply you with anything you should need. Fab!!!

Getting to the property is inconvenient because there is no road to it, it’s just a sand path. The structure of this hotel is beautiful, with beautiful views. The problem is the way the hotel is managed, is it a big rip-off and we will be asking for a refund.

Friendly staff and facilities at the hotel are good. Nearest beach is a rocky beach. Last few KM of the road leading to the hotel is very poor. This section needs to upgrade and possibly out of hotel managements' control. They may need to coordinate with the neighboring hotels and the local authority. However, signs leading to the hotel from the main road is not very clear. Google maps lead to a circuitous route. Need to upgrade the signs leading to the hotel in every junction and this is under hotel management.

Do not go.

Blown away about how bad this was. I cant comprehend how it is possible to own a hotel like this and just totaly ruin it. Some of the worst service in Sri Lanka we experienced on our 14 days trip through the country. Breakfast, if you can call it that was so terrible we just stopped eating. The pictures are lying and the hotel is not what you think it is.

I can’t believe the number of problems we had with this hotel. We’ve travelled to 77 countries and this stay was one of the top disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had given the expectations of a five star hotel. If rated as a three star it would be been a disappointment but not intolerable such as it was.

Schöne, ruhige Anlage mit sehr freundlichem, zuvorkommendem Personal. Leider war das Publikum nicht so wie ich es erwartet hatte (Muskel-Shirts zum Abendessen 🙄?), da hätte das Personal ein Auge drauf haben können/müssen. Ansonsten für ein paar ruhige Tage ein sehr schönes, sauberes Hotel.

Jos kaipaat rauhaa, valitse tämä hotelli! Saimme ihanan rauhallisen kahden yön yöpymisen tässä hotellissa! Sijainti sivussa kaikesta hälinästä. Aamupala oli maukas ja riittävä. Huone oli todella upea, panoraama näkymä merelle! Kilpikonnia voit nähdä merellä. Hyvä uima-allas ja hyvä palvelu.

Un resort vraiment très agréable

Hôtel parfait pour un séjour paisible à l’écart des endroits très fréquentés comme Galle. Cet hôtel est très spatieux, le personnel a l’écoute et sympathique. Proche de l’un des hot spots pour l’observation des tortues marines. Un hôtel à recommander pour les familles ou pour passer de longues journées à marcher sur les plages sauvages.

Mon meilleur hôtel au Sri-Lanka

Merveilleux hôtel, les chambres sont propres et confortables. Le Balcon vraiment exceptionnel vue sur la mer et tres grand avec chaises longues et table au dessus de la piscine, vraiment merveilleux d'y paser la soiree avec la brise de la mer! Nous avons loue 5 nuits et sommes restés 3 nuits de plus! La piscine est superbe le dejeunet varié et délicieux! Le seul hic c'est isolé mais un ptit resto a côté loue des motos pour pas cher! La.mer est dangereuse et no .baignable car rocheux mais on peut y voir des tortues et a 500 metres il y a une plages baignable!

This hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed in Sri Lanka. The staff are extremely friendly and the food excellent and well presented. The kitchen staff were ready to serve you with customized dishes and drinks. Gamini the chef personally greeted us and made sure we were served well. Room service was to time and the lady at the Spa was knowledgeable and gave us the best foot massage so far in our travels. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation to anyone who wants a super experience in beautiful Tangalle Sri Lanka. Happy and pleasant travels!!

Great! Clean and spacious rooms with great views. Pool area is well maintained. Great amenities such as yoga, badminton, turtle watching, empty beaches. Only downfall is that food can take a while to arrive!

We stayed at Sooriya Resort & Spa for 14 nights. The staff were very friendly and attentive, helping us book tuk tuks as well as recommending day trips out. The lifeguard ensured that we always had fresh towels, and was very knowledgeable of the wildlife in the area which we were particularly interested in. The resort and rooms are cleaned to a high standard, with faultless facilities. Although the resort is not in the heart of Tangalle, this didn’t prevent us from trips to National parks, temples and other cities. The beach and pool were great on days we stayed at the hotel to relax, the food was always made fresh and tasty. Overall I would definitely recommend Sooriya Resort & Spa as a place to stay on your visit to Sri Lanka!

Fredfull oase

Fantastisk fredfullt sted med kjempe hyggelig personale. I nærområdet finnes mindre strender der du kan se skilpadder og annet dyreliv. Vi ble oppgradert og fikk et kjempe flott rom med nydelig utsikt. Vi trivdes kjempe godt på stedet. Vi synes det var litt dumt at det ikke lå litt mer restauranter/små butikker i nærområdet, men for vårt 3 dagers opphold gikk dette greit. Naturen og stillheten rundt gjorde opp for dette.

Location is completely a subjective thing, but for us it was too far out from town. The nearby beaches are nice and secluded but there's nothing there, places to eat, drink etc. If you're after seculsion, peace and quiet then this is the place. There seemed to be a lot of animals around which was cool, I think it is a conservative area. Saw two different snakes by the pool, lizzards etc. The reception staff were ok, they were young and that shines through.

This was a wonderful hotel - the staff were exemplary- very friendly and attentive . The hotel was very clean and it's views were wonderful right on the oceanfront.It was very safe and secure too.We would recommend to anyone .

Nice stay

Nice resort perfect to relax and enjoy. The pool area was good and short way to the beach, with high waves in this period it was not possible to take a bath in the sea. The food was good at Sooriya. It is a long way to walk if you want other places to eat so the option is to get the reception to order a car. The vehicles ordered from the reception is good cars with nice drivers, we had a van for two days. Unstable wifi connection. Nice to stay here for families and couples.
