"The property was tranquil and located within easy driving distance of the historic Cuenca district. The room was rather stark with a television that glitched quite a bit but we were not into the room that much. Despite the uninspiring interior decor of the room, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. If you’re not looking for anything fancy or somewhat luxurious, this would be a good place to stay."

"Victoria is kind and helpful and the property is a beautiful rambling half hostel but with beautifully appointed rooms and upholstered walls and a treasure of things to look at in common areas. Beautiful old buildings and grounds. Our shower ran cold to cool and was confusing to control, but it was hot and we didn’t ask about it so can’t complain too much there. Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Reillo?
The best area to stay in Reillo is within the village centre itself, as it's a small, rural destination.

Reillo is a very small, tranquil village located in the heart of Castilla, Spain. The village centre is compact, with most amenities, such as the local church and any available eateries, within easy walking distance. You'll find traditional stone houses and narrow, winding streets, offering a glimpse into authentic Spanish rural life.

This area is particularly well-suited for couples seeking a quiet retreat. The serene surroundings and the opportunity for relaxed walks in the countryside make it an ideal spot to unwind and reconnect.

For solo travellers looking for a peaceful escape and a chance to experience genuine local culture, staying in the village centre provides a welcoming base.
When is the best time to go to Reillo?
The best time to visit Reillo is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

These periods offer the most pleasant weather, with mild temperatures and less rainfall, making them ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the region. Spring brings blooming wildflowers and lush landscapes, superb for hiking and outdoor activities. Autumn provides comfortable temperatures and the beauty of changing foliage.

For those planning outdoor adventures like hiking or cycling through the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Park, spring and autumn are particularly good. The trails are more accessible and the scenery is at its most appealing. You'll find it easier to enjoy long walks without the intense heat of summer or the chill of winter.

Families travelling with children might also prefer these shoulder seasons. The milder weather makes it more comfortable for younger travellers to participate in outdoor activities and explore the local area without getting too hot or cold.
