At Viale del Re 33, every space has been designed with your well-being in mind.

On the ground floor, a cosy entryway welcomes you with a handy kit for the public beach (beach cart, umbrella, beach rackets, and two beach chairs), perfect for your sunny days.
From here, you enter a private double bedroom with a TV (equipped with Chromecast) and a small private bathroom (sink and toilet only).
Heading up to the ground floor, you’ll find a spacious living area with a 32-inch TV (equipped with Chromecast), a dining table that comfortably seats four, and two comfortable sofa beds (one double and one queen-size).
The kitchen (where you’ll find a welcome kit with coffee pods, tea bags, chamomile tea, sugar, milk, water, oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper) is equipped with an oven, a kettle, an electric coffee maker, and a moka pot for coffee and cappuccino—perfect for starting your day with a smile (just a few metres away, you can also buy delicious croissants at Bar Checco, which is closed only on Tuesdays, for a royal start to your day).
On this floor, you’ll find the main bathroom with a spacious shower and a large double bedroom.

Air-conditioned rooms, mosquito screens on every window, free Wi-Fi, and a separate laundry room equipped with a washer-dryer, iron, clothesline, and included laundry detergent.

Upon your arrival, fresh sheets and towels will be ready for you, along with an exclusive welcome bathroom kit (shampoo, body wash, shower cap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and comb).

We’ve also thought of entertainment for adults and children alike, with books, board games (Risiko), and beach toys (beach rackets and, if you have children, buckets, shovels, etc.)

We’ll welcome you in person for check-in (15:00-20:00) and check-out (11:00-11:30), but for complete flexibility, the property has a convenient key drop box and offers the option to use the convenient drop-off area to store your luggage if you arrive before or depart after those times.

If during your holiday (for long stays) you’d like to freshen up the apartment, an extra cleaning service is available upon request for a fee, subject to availability.

Also available upon request—please specify when booking—are a travel cot, playpen, rug, changing table, high chair, and safety gates for small children,

The property is non-smoking, and unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Out of respect for the neighbors, it is strictly prohibited to organise parties, events, or bachelorette or stag nights.

IMPORTANT:
The tourist tax for the City of Reggio Calabria is set at 1.00 euro per person, per night (up to a maximum of 5 consecutive nights). It must be paid in cash upon arrival, and children under 14 are exempt.

Events to keep in mind in the area.

In Catona, summer offers a perfect blend of beach relaxation, theatre, and outdoor events centred along its waterfront (600 metres away).

🎭 Catona Teatro is the top tourist attraction: it takes place between late July and August at the “Alberto Neri” Arena on the boardwalk.
The summer festival features a high-caliber program with musicals, classical plays, Greek tragedies, dance, and contemporary music.

🎵 Catona is often part of the “Estate Reggina” festival circuit, featuring street performances, outdoor concerts, and artistic performances.

Beach Life and the Waterfront.

🏖️ During the day, the wide beaches come alive thanks to the beach clubs. Many of these not only provide beach umbrellas but also serve as full-fledged entertainment hubs for both day and night.

🤾Tournaments and Sports.
Summer beach volleyball tournaments are regularly held at the beach clubs (such as the historic Lido dello Stretto), attracting enthusiasts and spectators alike.

🍕 The restaurants, beach clubs, and gourmet pizzerias lining the Catona waterfront come alive at lunch and dinner with menus featuring fresh seafood and pizzas.

In August, traditional culinary events celebrating local specialities are held periodically; between August 9 and 10 in Salice Calabro (2.6 km away), the Aubergine Festival is held, featuring the world’s largest aubergine parmigiana, cooked in a giant eggplant-shaped pan (called “Sila”) and listed in the Guinness World Records.

🚙 The property is a perfect starting point for exploring the beauty of the Costa Viola: the legendary Scilla and the charming fishing village of Chianalea are just 13 km away.
The centre of Reggio Calabria is 15 km away and can also be reached by bus (stop 20 m away) or by train (station 300 m away). From here, you can stroll along the waterfront—considered one of the most beautiful in Italy—and treat yourself to a must-stop at the world-famous, award-winning Gelateria Cesare. You can also visit the National Museum of Magna Graecia, which houses the famous Riace Bronzes from the 5th century B.C.
