In early booking, we requested early check in, if possible. I was told it would be considered and that we would receive a message about it the morning of our reservation if allowed. This makes it difficult for people traveling any great distance to plan their travel, but okay, I get it. We arrived about 35 mins prior to check in time of 4pm. I messaged again to see if we could get in early as no one was around (ie, cleaning crew) and was giving a very confusing response but ultimately told no. We sat in the car and waited, and got in at our original check in time.
Upon entry, we toured the home, opened up the blinds and unpacked our car. As we settled in, each guest (5 adults) commented on how dirty the house was. The bedding had not been changed from prior guests, as we found crumbs and hair on the pillow cases and in the sheets. The bathrooms were less than desirable, with half used toiletries in the shower stall, trash cans hadn’t been emptied, the floors were dusty and hair covered, among other cleanliness issues, to top it all off, we found someone’s soiled underwear in the restroom upstairs. Vacasa was made aware of this and the response I received was that they were working with local staff to improve the experience. No offer to send someone out, no offer of a cleaning deposit refund, nothing. Grossly disappointed in Vacasa. This is no fault of the home or owners, this lies with the management company. Avoid Vacasa at Eagle Crest if you expect cleanliness.
