"So yes this was 100% a white lotus type experience. That said. The service was impeccable. We went to kinigi for gorilla trekking and Sambora coordinated every detail beyond the permits. They did everything from finding the right outerwear to finding us a great driver. Meals were delicious. We sat every night at a long table with other guests which was fun - we were traveling as a couple so was nice to mix it up. But yes. White lotus. Just be prepared."

"From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, the staff cannot do enough to make your stay a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend this hotel"

"We enjoyed our two nights pre-Christmas !! "

"Wonderful lux lodge very close to Volcanoes natural park. Tasty menu included in room rate, well-appointed rooms and very friendly staff to make your time relaxing and comfortable. "

"Nightmarish experience. I was traveling with a friend who wanted his own room. We booked this hotel at the last minute as it was close to the NP HQs. We arrived at 7 pm to find no front desk, just a bar area that was manned by a young lady who stated that we couldn’t stay as the owner had not been paid. Then the owner called stating that it was late so we could stay and that payment could be discussed in the morning. The hotel did not have wifi as advertised, there was no running or hot water...

"Absolutely loved this place. Will definitely be back. I look forward to seeing it again when the outdoor area is finished. Food amazing. Rooms peaceful. The only issue was heavy slamming doors."

"Really enjoyed staying here for a couple of nights . Conveniently located for a stay while visiting the beautiful gorillas of the nearby Volcanoes N.P. The staff was super nice, the tent was cozy and was surrounded by the gorgeous peaks of the 5 volcanoes. Food was good and the property dog friendly and cute. Couldn't ask for more."

"A beautiful place to stay, quiet, clean and great food and excellent service. Very comfortable."

"Norbert is amazing - so thoughtful. Made us breakfast at 6am bc we headed out at 615, and he also walked us around town the night before to grocery shop and find dinner. Awesome place to stay in musanze!"

"We had such a great time here! Property felt safe and welcoming. Everything was very clean. Beds were comfortable and water was hot for a few minutes. Michael is genuinely the most hospitable person I have ever met on the road. He offered to pick us up from the bus station when we arrived, arranged transportation to and from the national park, and even invited us into his own home for breakfast. He went above and beyond for us and I would go so far as to call him our good friend. Would...

"The house is a 15-20’ walk from the center. Difficult to communicate with the lady (no French, little English) but her husband speaks fluent French. Excellent breakfast, clean and spacious room."

"Beautiful hotel well located for hikes in the area. We stayed in the large cottage which is a very nice spacious option for families. Staff was very kind and accommodating (always went the extra mile) and as others have noted the food was really excellent. Light and healthy and tasted very fresh—the best food we had in Rwanda. "

"Snow Hotel hade ingen bokning på oss genom hotels.com. när vi anlände trots att vi bokat och pengar dragits. Inget som stod på hotels.com. stämde med verkligheten förutom namn och adress. Det som annonseras på hotels.com är inte det verkliga snow Hotel. Bilden stämmer ej, faciliteterna stämmer ej. Vi fick boka och betala ett rum på plats, trevlig personal och ok standard för priset. "I had a great time at Virunga Homestay, I initially only booked for a few nights but then stayed over a week. Francis is a very considerate, helpful, and accommodating host. The place is very clean, spacious and quiet. The homestay has good wifi and warm showers and the breakfast was wonderful, I highly recommend it. I will definitely come back. "
