The Neighborhood:
Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two hours` drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

Guest will receive emails prior to arrival date with directions and lock box code and pre-stay information.

House was perfect for our group of 10 women! Had everything we needed, very clean, and close to all things to do in Red Lodge but still felt like you were in nature. Would definitely book again with the family or another girls trip!
We loved everything about the property! The fireplace and hot tub were amazing and the house was immaculate and spacious and had everything we needed on sight. Would highly recommend!
The house felt just like home. The area was quiet, but we were just a few minutes from town. There was enough room for all of us to have some space, but the common spaces were big enough for all of us to be together. The kitchen was set up great and had everything that was needed to cook meals. We will definitely stay again when we are in Red Lodge.

It was a wonderful stay. Our contact was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem was when we started a fire in the fireplace one evening. The damper was open but the smoke backed up into the cabin and we had to remove the burning coals from the building.
Our stay was amazing. We had zero issues with anything. They were very accommodating when we requested early check-in & late check-out! We will definitely use again!
This house was great for us we enjoyed our stay although the beginning of our vacation started out a little rocky…we ended up in the ditch 0.3 miles away from the home! The locals were so helpful and told us this happens a lot because the road drops off on the sides into the ditch and since it was snowing and the road was covered in snow we could not see that. I feel that should be mentioned somewhere in the description if you’re coming during winter time. It took us 2 hours to get out but when we got to the house it was very warm and cozy!
Only 4 minutes from downtown Red Lodge. Nice property with distance from nearby homes. Peaceful. Nice view of the Beartooths from the back deck. Backed up to a wooded area. We could hear Rock Creek in the distance. Well-maintained and clean property.

Our stay was very relaxing.
Our stay was very relaxing. The property was wonderful for our small family get together. Everything was clean and immaculate. The unit offered great privacy and private river access, and it was conveniently close to town. I would definitely recommend this property. Booking the unit was extremely easy. Two weeks before arrival we were sent easy to follow check-in instructions. All of the staff we interacted with were very helpful. They even quickly called to let us know that we had forgotten something at the property.

Great vacation and will use AAA again on our next visit.
Great vacation and will use AAA again on our next visit.
One comment for Tight Liness: the directions for trash pick up need clarification. Please note that trash is picked up at the end of the driveway and not at main road. We thought we had to drive the trash can all the way out to the highway. Thanks! Jen is fabulous! Thank you for being so accommodating for our stay
