We had a great time! The cabin is very cute, very close to the water with nice big windows and a wonderful view! We saw northern lights the first night, and we had fun exploring the lake!
We had 4 adult males with 2 boats staying on the property which exceeded our expectations. The amenities in the house and on the property were outstanding. The dock system is excellent and in a nice, protected bay. Power is close if you need to charge your boat. Plenty of parking for the trailers. Highly Recommend.
Cabin and grounds were clean. Beach area is perfect for families. Quiet and lots of wildlife all around cabin grounds. Loved the visits from the deer each day!
Great location and great property! Nice little beach area to kayak and paddle board from. Cabin is nicely redone, clean and comfortable. Great communication from host! Loved!!
Wonderful stay at this cabin in Ray! It was very comfortable and cozy. Very clean and nicely decorated. The view was outstanding! The host was very responsive and quick to reply to my questions. Great location to visit Yoyaguers National Park.
The property is beautiful and right on the water. We brought our boat and appreciated the nice dock. Voyageurs National Park is amazing. Our host, Jamey, was super responsive and willing to help with any needs.
The property is amazing. Well maintained and very clean. The cabin is well appointed and very comfortable. Great dock with plenty of protection for your boat. Great view out to the lake with a great lakeside swing.
There were more things available than expected. Saw plenty of deer, a few otters, and eagles. We did a little fishing and caught some northern pikes. A very nice, and comfortable, cabin and bunk house. Will definitely return if we're back in the area.
This cabin is in a beautiful location. The cabin was clean and the kitchen well stocked. The view of the lake and the abundant wildlife was just what we were hoping for. The night sky is indescribable. I would recommend this cabin as a number one choice if you plan on staying in this area. Jamey was easy to talk with, readily available to answer questions and provided a lot of information on where to eat and who to contact for boat tours.
This property has everything we look for in a MN lake getaway - sandy beach, sturdy dock, privacy, great views - and the rocky point was a fabulous added bonus!
The accommodations worked great for our family of 6, and Kabetogama was a wonderful lake to enjoy!
Communication with the owner was easy and the packing checklist he provided was appreciated.
We hope to return!
This property is a peaceful oasis and a perfect location for rest, relaxation and rejuvenation. Excellent communication with owner. The cabin was comfortable, clean and inviting. The highlight was the group of delightful deer that would greet us in the morning. The cabin comes equipped with a cozy fireplace and huge viewing window that allows you to soak in the serene scenery from the comfort of inside. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat this is perfection! The owners were promptly responsive, professional and kind. I highly recommend this stay!
Simply put, this place is amazing. It was perfect for our families (7 total, 4 adult and 3 teens). It's cute, cozy and comfortable with everything you need and then some for an enjoyable trip to Voyageurs. We fished, swam, boated, went to Ellsworth Rock Gardens, Ash River Falls and Kettle Falls, played games, had fires, hiked, stayed on an island with the kids one night, enjoyed the wildlife and scenery, kayaked, watched sunsets and had morning coffee on the rock - we pretty much did it all in a week and it was probably our top vacation of all time. Simple, peaceful, relaxing and we can't wait to do it again. Thank you for sharing it with us, incredible! :)
Had a grand week on Lake Kabetogama. Cabin and bunk cabin fit our group well. Cabins were modern and very clean. Enjoyed having air conditioning when it got humid. Lots to see and do in the area. Saw deer every day. And caught enough fish for a fish fry.
Loved the cabin with the two bedrooms & bathroom great shower! Having the separate bunkhouse for our daughter’s family with little kids was perfect. The space around the property is ideal to have campfires, play games & set up kids swings. Nice beach & dock but lots of weeds. My favorite place is the swing overlooking the lake for reading & quiet time!
It was just what we were looking for. Everything was clean and well maintained and organized. My wife left a book in which was mailed to her promptly. We are fisher people and they cooperated. We would recommend this property to all
Great location, wonderful lot.
Definitely a grandma’s cabin feel.
Newer redone interior.
Some appliances could be refreshed.
Definitely a good place to relax and unwind.
My family of 4 plus our dog stayed at this newly renovated cabin for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! My boys ages 19 & 17 loved having the bunkhouse to sleep in and slept very well in the new beds. The main cabin was very comfortable and nicely redone. The land that the cabin is on is absolutely beautiful! You can go swim or kayak from the private sandy beach, then go to the other side of the property up a little trail and sit on the rock outcropping deck and enjoy the amazing views! We saw deer almost every day as well as plenty of loons. Hoping to come back again next summer!!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Great location, secluded and quiet. Plenty of room for our family of 5. Loved seeing the wildlife and just sitting on the rocks and looking at the lake together. Would definitely return!
This is not a complaint at all, but I do want to note for future guests that the cabin is pretty light on some essentials you might be used to at other properties. Make sure to bring towels (hand towels, bath towels, dish towels, etc.), wash cloths, soap/shampoo, etc. Again, not a complaint, there is just not a close store you can run to when you get there!
The cabin was perfectly cozy for 4 adults and 2 children! It has been beautifully updated and has nice amenities like a dishwasher and washer & dryer. The best features are the location; very quiet with lots of wildlife and the view is breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights and were able to watch them all night from inside the cabin, over the lake. We appreciated the closeness of the fire pit next to the house for a late night fire and made s’mores left by the host! My father in law caught his first walleye and we loved being in the company of so many ducks, loons & deer. Our 7 & 10 year old enjoyed exploring the property and playing on the beach, if only we chose a warmer month to visit and swim!
I only did 4 stars for listing accuracy because the bathroom in the bunk house hadn’t been completed yet which was not a problem for us, but it’s going to be terrific for future guests!! The host Jamey was easy to communicate and very helpful throughout our stay.
This lake house / bunk house combo is located on a remarkable piece of property with some truly unique experiences. We had deer come righ up to the beach, typically in the early morning or late afternoon. At one point a doe and buck were frolicking in the shallows. When is that last time you saw deer having fun being deer? There was a pelican on the lake that loved to hang out on the rock hazard at the end of the bay, and a few ducks would come to sleep on the beach at night and and eat "something" in the surf during the morning before heading off to their daily routines. We had the pleasure of watching a mama with 4 little ones during our stay.
The house is small but very functional, and has that perfect lakehouse feel. There are windows that give full views to the lake. The house itself sleeps 6 easily, and the bunk is a great place for kids to hang out, complete with its own bathroom.
The boys were catching pike right out of the bay too. There is a large rock the owner placed a wooden platform on. You can sit out there and have a perfect view of the sunrise in the summer. One morning, my wife didn't realize the bald eagle that was perched in the pine just above her. She actually heard its wings as it decided she was a little suspect, and needed to find a new place to scope for fish.
Be prepared... It will be rough to come back home after from this place.
