This is our third stay at the Crown Beach resort and spa. Our initial suite we were taken too was by far below the standard we had come to associate with the Crown Beach resort.
The initial suite we were given was not suitable for guests. The pool was full of insects, the garden was unkept and the bathroom and toilet were still unclean. When flushing the toilet the water was black.
There was also an Ant problem with large ants outside and inside the suite.
Contacting the front desk and asking for another room as we advised about the shortcomings of the room. Instead of offering another suite suitable, they sent the maintenance crew to try and rectify the room. Upon arrival, the maintenance team advised they will speak to the reception area as the room was not ready for guests. This took over 2 hours to complete.
on 18th Feb, we were placed in forced quarantine.
For 3 days we were left with no clean linen, no laundry services or any other services which we pay for.
upon exit, our refund was undercalculated with the amount received being far smaller than what we paid.
While isolating, the GM tried to placate our stay with a gift of cheap wine and a magazine for attractions to visit on the island.... WE WERE ISOLATING which was insensitive and frankly an insult.
Overpriced for what you get in terms of quality and service provided. The ONLY saving grace was the hand-full of staff that have remained from previous stays.
Very disappointed guests.
