Cabin was awesome for my family of 5 with room for a few more if needed. Location is perfect for all seasons and communication with Geoff was very great and super fast. Will look to book again for next year! Thank you!
I know the area well and have stayed at various places over the years and this was unquestionably the best. The owner has thought of everything and communicated with us to make sure everything was good.
The cabin was better than anticipated. Everything you need for inside or outside cooking was provided, and then some. Place was clean, comfortable and felt like home. We will definitely stay again!

Cozy Cabin Getaway
What a special place! We spent the entire weekend cozy and playing games. Saddleback was so close for us to take a day to ski, the kids could play outside in the snow, And there’s a local ice rink in town! Everything was just perfect!
Great spot in Rangeley about 10 minutes from Saddleback. We had a great time and the unit has everythjing for a comfortable stay. Our point of contact was in touch with us before check-in, making it super easy. Thanks!
We had a great time at the rustic cabin on the Lake. Check-in was very simple and communication was terrific. We really loved the location, as we got two fantastic days of skiing in at Saddleback. And because the lake was frozen, we even got to explore a bit. Plus, the sauna is an extra bonus! Thank you for a great weekend!
Great cabin on Rangeley Lake, close to town and 10-15 minutes to Saddleback mountain ski lodge parking. This was our second stay at Snowshoe Cabin. Geoff, the owner, is great with communication. The cabin is set up perfectly for outdoor activities. Lots of hooks and floor space for suits, boots etc. Big kitchen and dining area. Lots of living room space for lounging. Awesome winter sunset views over the lake. Our multi generational ski weekend was a hit with everyone and we can't wait to return! Bowling, drinks and pizza at Moose Alley made for a great evening as well. Thank you for a wonderful place to enjoy family time and the outdoors!
We had a wonderful stay at the Snowshoe cabin. It was very cozy yet comfortable for our family of 6. An ice storm changed our ski plans and we were grateful for the great game collection that helped us pass the time. The cabin’s location is super convenient to both Saddleback and downtown Rangeley, and management was very welcoming and responsive.
Great location, awesome amenities! Responsive host

Ski trip
Albeit short, we had a wonderful time in Rangeley and Saddleback. The cabin was perfect. The views were amazing. The sauna was clutch on one of our coldest ski days. Lots of board games. Had everything we needed. Five minutes from grocery store and gas station! Fifteen minutes to Saddleback! The cherry on top was that I had left behind my iPad. The host and cleaning person were lifesavers in arranging a time and meeting place that was not too far from home so that I could retrieve the iPad. Wonderful experience all around. Hope to make it back soon!

Great cabin!
Perfect location and great cabin! It had everything we needed and we appreciated being able to bring our dogs! The stars were AMAZING at night!!
The cabin and setting were very nice and comfortable. Geoff, our contact person there, was so welcoming, and he responded quickly and helpfully to a couple of questions we had. We were very pleased with our experience. Our dog loved it, too - great that it was pet-friendly! Thank you.
We loved our stay at Snowshoe cabin! Geoff was an excellent host - very responsive and helpful with any questions. The cabin was clean and cozy, with all the amenities we needed. As a musical family, we really appreciated the guitar and record player! The heating unit is excellent and there were also lots of extra blankets to keep us warm on a chilly November weekend. This was the perfect spot to stay for a wedding at Mountain Star Estate which is directly across the street and walkable from the cabin. Overall an excellent experience all around. Thank you!

Rusti Cabin Rangeley
Had a great time at this cabin and this was my second stay there. The abin is ell appointed and the owner has thought of everything as far as guest comforts and ammenities. The cabin is very clean, a very short stroll to the lake edge on the property. The sunset from the dock is beyond ccompare and it is supper easy to dock a boat there
My family and I had a fantastic time at Rangeley lakes cabins. We stayed in snowshoe and found it very charming. There’s beautiful scenery in every direction and the cabins feel like camping with all the amenities of home. We brought young kids so the two TVs and dishwasher were nice to have. The cabin was very spacious with a well maintained property surrounding including a firepit with all the dry firewood you could want. We enjoyed using the cabin’s kayak, cornhole, frisbee and grill. Our host Geoff was friendly, fantastic at communicating with us quickly, and encouraged us to get the most out of our trip. It’s hard to pinpoint our favorite part of our vacation but we hope to be back! Our 4yr old kept asking if we can stay here forever so I think a return trip is in order!
My family of 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog stayed with another family of 2 adults and 2 children.
We had a great time and would stay again. Some things to know:
*The sauna is AWESOME and is exceptionally well made. The controls are strange, read the instructions in your cabin first.
*Dogs are allowed with no caveats on Vrbo but when you get there the instructions say to keep the dog leashed. We did not follow the instructions and had no problems.
*There is no AC or dehumidification. If its raining plan to have damp clothes, sheets, furniture, etc.
*The beach access appears to be on a neighboring property but there is a small foot path/bridge to it.
*There is some excellent easy hiking nearby (4 miles)
*Few restaurants in town are open on Mondays. Plan accordingly. Also you may want to avoid Sarge's unless you like low bar food.
*The kitchen and bathroom were recently remodeled. They look good. You'll have to duck to get under the showerhead unless you are 5'6" or so
*Spices, condiments, fire starting logs, firewood, are provided. There is both a charcoal stove and a propane stove (propane was 1/2 full).
*The lights on the back deck and the power feeding the TV both had shorts. Couldn't keep them on reliably especially if there was wind or someone was walking nearby.
*Not all windows had curtains/blinds. You may feel a bit exposed if you like privacy at night.
*There were books and games avail.
I don't have much else to say other than I hope to visit again!
