Modern Treehouse Close to Duke

Welcome to your treehouse in the city! Perfect for Duke patients, professionals, & Durham getaways! Being nestled in a serene forest, you can relax and enjoy the sounds of nature in a quiet neighborhood very close to Duke University, Duke University Medical Center, the Duke Forest, and downtown Durham. It is also in the vicinity of the Research Triangle Park and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This property has been totally renovated and is artistically appointed. It is nestled between trees on a large lot within a quiet Duke Forest neighborhood cul de sac. A large open living area awaits you and is complete with a marble dining table that seats six. The living area is also beautifully furnished for you to watch the smart TV visit with your family, friends, or simply relax. Another section of this large room provides an additional queen sofa bed which serves as a nice reading area or an extra sleeping area. Your open kitchen is a great spot to prepare delightful meals or snacks while you visit with guests as they are comfortably seated in the living area or at the bar. Your circular great room opens to a wrap around deck with an outside table seating six. The view to the woods is fantastic, no matter where you settle. Downstairs are two newly furnished master bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. Each of the master bedrooms has a full bath, and its own private patio. Like the upstairs deck, the downstairs patios are abundant with panoramic forest views. Between the two bedrooms is a small room with a twin fold out ottoman. There is also a separate laundry room with a large capacity washer and a dryer. A mesh wifi will keep you connected throughout the house. Additionally, a Ring doorbell system is in place for your safety. Parking is available in your private driveway or on the street in front of your house. Hiking is nearby on the Al Buehler Trail. We cater to guests visiting Durham and Chapel Hill, Duke patients and people with asthma and allergies, Even the most finicky would find comfort in this home!

Wonderfully peaceful house close to Duke

We stayed at the Treehouse while our daughter had surgery at Duke. The Treehouse was peaceful and the perfect place to recoup after surgery. Sue and Gary were wonderful hosts. They were great about communicating before our reservation and were flexible about our arrival/departure. The house was a perfect retreat. They even provided coffee k-pods and snacks for our stay. Lovely bedding, towels and toiletries were provided for our stay. I highly recommend this property and the owners.

This property was exceptional. From the decor, cleanliness, attention to details and communication from the host it exceeded expectations. It’s the little things that really set it apart from other places we have stayed. The switches in the home were labeled, there were snacks on the counter, coffee pods for the Keurig,a basket of blankets to use while sitting in the living area! It was lovely. Location is great, minutes away from Duke and 20 from UNC. We will be back!

Thanksgiving at the house in the trees.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. Our hosts did a great job communicating beforehand, and everything was just as described. They did go above and beyond providing a kitchen with commonly needed pantry items and many other touches to make our stay comfortable. The entire place is updated and has a fresh feel. The location can't be beat. It is right next to Duke, in a quiet neighborhood, on a cul de sac, with the added bonus of being close to the Al Buehler trail for afternoon walks. If you are looking for relaxing, well-appointed, and peaceful, this is it! We are hoping to stay here again. Thank you Sue and Gary!

Just perfect!

We visited Durham to tour Duke. The treehouse is very close to the Duke campus and was the perfect place for our family. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, cups, silverware. We love the option of making a simple meal or bringing in takeout when we don’t have the energy to venture out, and the treehouse had everything we needed and more. Coffee, tea, sugar, microwave popcorn, nut bars, and spices were provided. There is a Super Target very near for anything else you might want. The treehouse is beautiful and comfortable. Many thanks to Linda for being such a wonderful hostess! We will certainly be back whenever we return!

Breath of fresh air

Traveling can be stressful but Sue and Gary’s treehouse was like a breath of fresh air. I have traveled to North Carolina many times and have stayed in numerous houses. This house by far exceeded my expectations. The pictures do not do the house justice. The furniture, kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms were all in pristine condition. The bath towels were luxurious. From the cleanliness to having all the necessities one might need, this house was perfect for my family. The location was convenient and in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. It was definitely a 5 star experience and I will be back. Thank you Sue and Gary for sharing your beautiful home.
