This rental is a unique privately accessed, disability-friendly, eco-friendly 550 sqft mother-in-law suite inside my home featuring a comfy king sized bed, a large windowed gameroom with a pool table, a full bathroom, and small kitchenette. Indoor space is not shared. Distance from suite to RDU airport is 10 miles, 12 minutes in normal traffic.

Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Please don't strip or make the bed. If the sheets are still on, I can inspect them easily, and apply spot cleaner, wherever needed. If the bed is stripped, I'd have to remake it to inspect it.
Don't take out the trash. I will do this to ensure recyclables make it into the correct bins.
If you brought a dog, bag the dog poop. That's it.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Having a pool table to play a few games was fun. Sitting by the window and Watching the humming birds drinking nectar from the honey suckles was awesome. Love the view from the game room. Very relaxing.

Everything was as described and clean. A couple things to consider: if you're a light sleeper like me, it will be hard to sleep. Owner lives in main house upstairs and you can hear a lot coming from upstairs at night and early in the morning. The backyard is shared and your entrance is through their backyard that they use for their dogs and accessing their shed. There's no way to completely have privacy from the used back yard (no shades in the game room or door closing off the hallway from bedroom to bathroom from outside view). Otherwise if you don't mind those things it'll be a good rental.

Peaceful

Great neighborhood and perfect place for me to work and rest while moving my son out of State for the summer. Everything was clean and I felt very safe. The backyard is so peaceful and I loved how environmentally conscious my hosts are. Highly recommend. Stay with Ben and Patty.

Great location for us

We stayed for two nights for a dance competition. The location was close to where we needed to be each day. The home was clean and comfortable. My daughter enjoyed learning how to play pool during our down time. The owner was responsive and checked in on us via a message the night we arrived.

Set in a really pretty neighborhood and convenient to RDU, this place was a great stopover. The pool table was fun, the kitchen more than adequate, the backyard beautiful. Cool bathroom and the bed was super comfy.

Just what we needed

Needed a place to near downtown for one night while in Raleigh. This place was convenient, clean, and the host committed well and in a timely manner. There were a few nice touches like a few drinks in the fridge and truffles on the bed. It's a good place for 2 people and a bonus for us since we had our tiny dog with us and she was able to stay.

We had an event at the NC STATE FAIRGROUNDS. The VRBO was convenient, and set up great! Easy access and the bed was comfy. Really appreciated the extra touches of water in Thanks!!!refrigerator and snacks!!!

Awesome lower-level private lodging in great location!

Loved everything about this place, from the large, private yard to the pool table. Accommodations felt spacious and I appreciated that the kitchen nook had a full-sized fridge and sink. Met the property owners and they were very friendly and helped with anything I needed during my stay. Would definitely book again. Also, the bed was super comfy which is important to me when booking VRBOs.

Peaceful and convenience

If you are visiting Raleigh and need a place to stay for a few days or more, I highly recommend staying with Ben and Patti. Located in a quiet older neighborhood with beautiful giant trees, the unit is nestled in a tranquil garden setting around the back of the house. Inside is very clean and modern, and the pool table is a big yes for me! The king-size bed was very comfortable; the shower was hot and powerful. Ben was very responsive to all our needs and questions. And the beer in the frig was a nice treat after a long drive.
