"Friendly staff. Good location."

"We really liked the location of the hotel. Opatija is such a beautiful village and you can go into the centre directly via the sea promenade. Also the beach is very beautiful, but keep in mind that it costs 25€ (for 1 umbrella and two sun beds). The parking situation is horrible. You need to pay at least 30€ a day in a garage (5 minutes walk) or 34€ on the street (directly in front of the hotel). We didn't like the dinner buffet. There were some dishes that were good, but in general it was more...

"Wonderful hotel with great people, food, music and drinks. Everything was seriously perfect. Easy check-in and helpful, kind staff all around. Highly recommend this hotel!!"

"The front desk woman was very nice and friendly from the moment we checked in and each morning we saw her. The room was spacious, clean and bright with a Juliet balcony with beautiful views. Breakfast was so plentiful, a casino, spa facilities and a beauty salon all within the hotel. A lovely park right across the street which brings you to the beaches and sea walkway. We fell in love with Opatija!"

"I expected more from this hotel. They put me in a room with poor wifi connection, and you could hear everything from the bar at night. When I complained there was nothing they could do apart from “send a technician” who didn’t show up. Staff are unfriendly and disappear when you need them. The pool is nice but not enough loungers for the size of the hotel. The lighting in the room could be better, bathroom is too dark to put on makeup. Spa area needs to be attended more as there were wet towels...

"We really enjoyed our last minute stay at the Imperial as it was our plan to make it to Rijeka but it was a very dark and eainy night. Our attic room was a huge surprise and was spacious and cozy. The breakfast was phenomenal! The best display of so many food options that we really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend staying here! "

Of course there are margins for improvement …like the water pressure in the shower, the service level on the beach, the restaurant and the breakfast.
