Stayed here for 3 nights and it was really good. The restaurant has really great food. Clean and the areas offer a few treks. Only gripe is the parking which is on a horrible slant

Nice clean place with friendly staff, with a pool by the forest, a quiet spot for yoga/meditation/massage, and paths in the forest where we saw squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys and scarlet macaws. The pool has a few missing tiles but, apart from that minor thing, everything else was nicely kept and clean.

Family fun times

Amazing place to stay. Room was clean, pool was great and the food was perfect. There is a kitchen if you prefer to cook. Staff were super friendly and informative. We traveled with 2 teenage boys, they also loved it at Teva.

The staff were amazing. The bar was loud on my first night and they moved us to a garden-facing room with no problem at all. They also happily provided an extra pillow. The location is very convenient (though the road is very busy, so be careful!). The pool is lovely, and the restaurant is excellent. Would have appreciated hooks and cups or glasses in the bedroom, but all in all, a great place to stay!

100% recommend

This hotel is a 10 minute walk (uphill) to restaurants and a 10 minute drive to the national park and beach. The hotel has some nice trails and lots of monkeys around the pool area. Apparently there are some sloths but we wasnt lucky to see one. The food and drinks at the restaurant are nice and reasonably priced. A really great find and would recommended for anyone looking to stay in Manuel Antonio!

Worst mattress I ever slept on ( so soft you sink in it like a couch). Hostel factory…unfortunately bathrooms and showers are not cleaned 4 times a day like mentioned. Location is good, still dangerous to walk up or down to bus stop. Trails are nice

Good but overpriced

We stayed at Teva for 3 nights near the end of our trip and overall enjoyed the stay. The Good - the rooms are clean but very basic. Ours was one with a ceiling fan and aircon (AC essential in this location i think). The pool area was nice, and there were various places to sit in the grounds. You could also use the kitchen area if needed. We saw monkeys and iguanas in the grounds. There were trails in the ground too but it was too wet for us to explore these. The not so Good - it was the most expensive place we stayed (circa £130 p/n) but was the only one that did not include breakfast. You could buy breakfast at their restaurant but it was not that cheap - we went to Soda el Angel up the road instead and got two breakfasts for the price of 1 at Teva. The rooms were lacking in places - there were no bedside lights, or anywhere to hang even a couple of bits. We travel light so could store our bags under the bed (super clean under there as a plus). We only had a warm shower once in 3 nights. The music at the restaurant turns off at 10pm, but was annoying at times before that - which could mostly be fixed by them just reducing the bass level! A lot of reviews mentioned the road being loud - you could hear it a little from 6am, but not overly so. Note - you can walk to the bus stop / restaurants by using a short hotel trail (uphill) to connect to the path. Just a 10 minute walk. We stayed here without a car - you can get the bus to the National Park (every 15 mins).

The staff was hardworking and friendly. Front desk was very helpful with any questions about the area or tours you wanted to book. The area was nice and a short walk from the bus stop, but like everything in CR it was uphill. Lovely place with good value for a private room.

The dorms are ok. You have to make your own bed on arrival. I asked one of the staff if she could help put some phone data on my phone and I gave her $20 to do this and within a couple days it had ran out. So on that note I was not impressed with the help from one of the staff at this hostel.
