Panoramic view of city and sunsets in comfort of the living room, terrace and kitchen. In order to access the house from the top street, there are two short flights of stairs of approximately 20 steps leading down. More so, accessing the house from bottom street takes about 85 steps up. This house may not be suitable for families with infants and strollers, walking difficulties or any other health issues. Plenty of local food vendors. (tacos, traditional food, fruit, juice and coconuts stands). Also on Saturdays there is a swap meet (street market) where you can find all kinds of delicious food and goods from 8 am to 2 pm . I highly recommend the taco stand, aguas Frescas and tejuino, all in walking distance, their prices are super affordable, highly recommended!

The place was clean and had a great view of the city. The surrounding neighborhood felt very homely and had many little grocery stores and coffee shops. Just remember the balcony door is auto locking and there’s a window next to it to open in case you get locked out, had an unfortunate event with the same thing. Will definitely stay again when I visit puerto Vallarta next. The owner is also very helpful.
this was my first VRBO experience and the process was seamless. the unit was spacious with a great view, parking was easy and we felt at home. Very large washing machine and great AC unit
Highly recommend this unit for family stays
Great space central to Puerto Vallarta neighborhoods
My family and I enjoyed being in this space, There is room for 4 without issue, we cooked many times and enjoyed the ease of access to the rest of Puerto Vallarta. I chose the location for being central to the colonials and am glad. Thank you for your hospitality, we plan to return soon.
A super quiet neighborhood and a great view! Great tacos stand down the road. Beds are comfy. AC works great. Tons of Windows to open to enjoy the breeze and view. We would love to come back and stay again!!!
I am so grateful for this home , the location is high with amazing views, and is accurate to the ad. More than I expected, I used the steps instead of the road, I loved it, quiet , clean, huge ,shower was amazing. Is safe, and has a special happy energy , like magic, so easy to walk everywhere, and be able to enjoy a private feeling, peaceful. I loved the walk to the beach, to all the restaurants, maybe 15 min walk. So many great little shops nearby, to buy anything you need.. house has so many amenities blender, coffee maker, stereo, tv, desk, everything and more .. I really loved it here, and was sad it was booked, because I wanted to stay for 2 months. And for me, the location is better than beach front, for the privacy, and peace. clean comfy bed and towels, and Martha was quick to respond to me, and made me feel so welcomed. best thing for me is I felt so safe, and relaxed. the view is so wonderful to wake up to..I could go on forever... Loved it here, thank you so much Martha !!!!!
Martha’s place is a lovely hillside apartment overlooking the city - spacious, high-ceilinged, and an array of windows along the front of the building that wrap around an enclosed patio in one corner, plus the “wow” factor of going to bed at night and waking up in the morning to a panoramic view of the Puerto Vallarta skyline and a mountain range in the background. This is all located in the older part of the city, economically far removed from the glitter and bustle of the city’s Gold Coast. Life is slower here, the streets steep and winding, where you can see an occasional chicken moseying and pecking on a sidewalk, and hear roosters crowing in the morning. No gentrification here. That said, my wife and I never felt unsafe or intimidated. Quite the contrary. Everyone we met was welcoming and kind and helpful. And you get bonus points if you speak Spanish, or just try. I’ve found, and this is true of any country in my experience, folks appreciate the effort, even if you do sound a little dumb. From the front door to the beach is about a 30-minute stroll, but there are so many distractions along the way, be it a flea market, a quaint shop, or the delicious smells of street side cooking, that we never made it in less than an hour. And if you stop for lunch … Our stroll was always a little adventure. We had a delightful time. Martha is a conscientious hostess. Her rapid response to inquiries is truly impressive. You would like it here.

Lots of potential
The property gives an initial good impression but after a closer look disappoints. We arrived late and once we got into the unit were disappointed what little extras were not included which we find normally are. The kitchen has minimal basics….no coffee filters, coffee, sugar creamer. To be honest there was nothing edible that looked safe for consumption other than drinking water. Also not provided laundry soap and a hair dryer. Asked about the hairdryer and eventually the host felt it had been taken …but it was not replaced during our 3 week stay. The host does respond quickly but everything brought to her attention should have been dealt with before our arrival. Bug infestation, inoperable air conditioner (we wasted 1/2 day waiting for repair man) and lizard kicking dirt all over bathroom counter. Extremely uncomfortable furniture and beds. No laundry detergent provided. Pots/pans, cutlery, utensils all needed to be washed. The place required a good deep cleaning. Rickety chairs, thread bare cushions. Luis and Tera were lovely but I felt like they weren’t given the tools to do the job properly. We never met Martha face to face, I got the impression she has a lot going on so instead of being proactive she waits for complaints. Would I recommend the place…probably not. With regards to the area…we were looking for a non touristy experience and that’s what we found so we were happy with that.
