Coco Hotel Review From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by English-speaking hosts, making check-in smooth and easy — no stress at all. We were thrilled to be upgraded to the penthouse suite, which was fantastic. The room was meticulously clean, with excellent air conditioning, strong WiFi, and English-speaking television channels. No vermin, insects, or mosquitoes — a huge plus! Breakfast and coffee were delicious every morning. The hotel also has an outstanding pet collection, featuring friendly dogs, cats, a hawk, turtles, and iguanas, adding a unique and charming touch to the stay. The location is perfect for walking to nearby restaurants. There’s a nice pool, a great bar where we met guests from all over the world, and the overall value was incredible. Highly recommend Coco Hotel — we would absolutely stay here again!

We arrived at Coco Hotel to be informed that due to flight cancellations of other guests they were not able accommodate the 3 rooms we booked. Although, not all was lost Shelley was able to find us accommodations at a hotel across the street.

The place change drastically from my last visit 10 years ago. The pool was dirty, the rooms were inhabitable and the area was not inviting. I was highly disappointed and left the next day.

The picture on the webpage are not current they must be the pictures from when the hotel was at it’s prime. Room window was missing glass panels. The door to the room was about to fall off and the room walls where very dirty. The ceiling had mold and paint flicking off with water intrusion. I wouldn’t go back and would definitely not recommend anyone to this hotel

Decepcionante servicio al cliente

Al principio fue decepcionante con la recepcionista, la recepcionista fue muy ruda con las personas hasta me quería echar del hotel aún cuando haya realizado la recepción por el simple hecho de no entender que desde la página solo se hizo el apartado y había que pagar después, lo cual no sabía y en vez de explicar lo que hizo la recepcionista fue maldecir en inglés y tratar de echarnos, un mal servicio al cliente, por eso no lo recomiendo, lo único bueno es el lugar y los precios pero el servicio al cliente pésimo.

Location in a quiet neighborhood, however it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach. Shelley the owner is friendly and a welcoming host, anything you ask she will try to help you. The pool could use some tending too. The room was basic but clean. Well worth the price point.

Nothing special to expect, just a place to crash for a night max. For the cost and at the location where it’s, I would expect a better maintenance (lack of many amenities, hot water missing and annoying pets). The hotel manager is really friendly, and that’s the main point advantageous that place has.

The environment and vibe is like a family! The owner is an AMAZING person with a huge heart that will do ANYTHING to make your stay more pleasant. Sitting at the bar with total strangers felt like a family gathering. This is a wonderful place that I will definitely be staying at from now on when I'm in the DR!

I had a great time here. The hosts, Shelly and Ian were great. The bar was a real highlight and brings in a lot of local expats. Even if you don't stay up late, the rooms are comcrete, so noise isn't an issue at any time. Good channel selection. A bit of a walk to the center (15 min), but mototaxis right outside all the time. Tastes vary, but people who complained about this great little place belong on a Disney cruise, not Sosua.

My TV didn’t work nor did I have hot water however my stay was more then enjoyable. Family atmosphere and I felt welcomed and safe the entire time. I actually never locked my door even when I left the property. Would definitely return and recommend.
