"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects. That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...

"Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. "I’m not particularly spiritual, but I practically had a religious experience here, floating in a beautiful pool under a moonlit sky, surrounded by the chatter of five or six monkeys hiding in the trees next to me.In the morning we would ride down into town to grab coffees and pastries and dance on the dusky sand with our kids, finding tiny crabs and strange shells in the warm water. I would go back in a heartbeat."
